The evening started out rough. 20 minutes late to sit us at our table which was right next to the wide entrance to the kitchen . We were also stuck next to the waitstaff station and 4 very loud diners. When our drinks came out wrong we had had enough and were ready to leave. But Sophia and Eastern Standard saved the day. Somehow they recognized that we were unhappy and surprised us with a nice quiet booth away from the kitchen, a complimentary appetizer and dessert and paid for our drinks at the bar when we were waiting for the table. They couldn't have treated us better. We really appreciated the gracious hosting of us and all you did to make it right. Food and service were fantastic. Will definitely go back.

Bar Vlaha is always our go-to celebration spot, this time was for our 8th wedding anniversary. As always, the restaurant was very accommodating (we had our toddler with us), the food was innovative and still authentic to its roots (my family is from one of the regions of Greece from which this cuisine originates), and the service was incredible and very hospitable (thanks to Kelly and Andreas - a fellow Epirote!), where it felt like we were back in Greece. Our experiences here are always like this, and it keeps us coming back again and again for every celebration. I can't recommend Bar Vlaha enough.

Casual (and a bit noisy) space but fabulous food that will make you keep coming again. The taste and aroma of beef massaman was out of this world, and we also fought over every last bit of salt and pepper pork cheek with sticky rice. Even what you think of simple pad-thai is something else in Mahaniyom. And don't forget the cocktails. I had a spicy pineapple mezcal that was the perfect companion to the variety of flavors I tasted. So glad to have this place in our neighborhood!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner tonight. The 3 different meals that we had were all delicious, prepared within an appropriate timeframe, generous portions, and served at the same time. The gelato desserts were also very tasty. The server was attentive and was very agreeable to taking a picture as requested.
