We were there to celebrate my birthday. The food was delicious. I had the seafood gumbo. I tried it once before and it is still my favorite. Will definitely order again. My husband had the shrimp and grits. He said that it’s the best that he ever had. Our waitress was very good and attentive. She brought out a dessert for me to celebrate my birthday. She was great.

Gambrills, MD location: From the moment we stepped into Miss Toya’s ,the experience was amazing! The vibes were great — warm, welcoming, and full of good energy. The hostess and staff were incredibly kind, and our waiter, Andre, was top-notch. He was super attentive, offered great recommendations, and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. Now, let’s talk about the food — WOW. Generous portions, beautifully seasoned dishes, and everything served hot and fresh. The fried deviled eggs topped with crab meat and fried catfish were a must-try — absolutely delicious! The smoked collard greens with turkey had me saying “Oh my God!” and the five cheese mac & cheese was on point next-level comfort food. Don’t skip the fried green tomatoes — perfectly seasoned and crisp. I’ll definitely be back!

I wanted a quiet atmosphere with good food because I knew that my colleague and I had much to discuss. Rips was positively wonderful.
