What a fantastic find! This is family dining at its absolute best. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The food was exceptional—beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and truly top-class. We also loved that it is dog-friendly, which was a huge bonus while we were enjoying our staycation. If you're looking for an outstanding dining experience with high-quality food but without the formality or fuss of traditional fine dining, we couldn't recommend this place more highly. We'll definitely be back!

Excellent as always! First restaurant we ever visited when we moved to Herefordshire and now we are leaving, we made sure it was the last restaurant we visited too. Everything from the food to the service, and everything in between is fantastic, and they are so welcoming of young children, which is so refreshing!

On one of the hottest days of the year, our visit to Butterflies was the best yet. This absolute gem of an eatery is welcoming from the very first interaction with staff. The food? Simply sublime! From my starter of crispy Korean style shredded beef, through to the chateaubriand steak that was shared, finished off with a lemon meringue cheesecake, every course was delivered to the table by friendly, helpful staff - that even the heat of the night couldn’t dampen their professionalism. The food that was presented was generously portioned, cooked to perfection and is genuinely some of the best food I have had anywhere in the world. If you’re looking for a dining experience in South Wales that will leave you lighter in wallet (it’s not a cheap night out), but much, much fuller in belly and soul - then you just have to visit Butterflies. A final word of warning. Make sure that you take cash to tip, you can’t add it onto your card payment as we sadly found out. I fully intend to make up for it when we visit again, which I can assure you will be soon.
