- SSusanWashington, D.C. Area •3 reviews5.0Dined todayReuniting with a former colleague, I felt satisfied that the menu (gluten-free, etc.) would please her—and it did. The thoughtful wait staff members were attentive but not hovering. We both enjoyed the soups and salads and even lingered over cups of cappuccino. The week prior, I enjoyed a similar experience with another out of town friend. Well done!More infoOld Ebbitt GrillPrice: Moderate• American• Downtown•4.8
- EEdwardWashington, D.C. Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoFew places exceed expectations set for a newer restaurant but this was my experience on my first dinner at La Grande Boucherie. Filled to capacity for Thanksgiving, the service didn't suffer, the wine list well matched to the menu, and the food was perfectly prepared. The steak melts in your mouth, the French onion soup better than Paris, and oysters fresh, plump, and perfectly chilled. Outstanding. But nothing prepares you for the breathtaking ambiance! The sweeping staircase, magnificent Beaux Arts interior- you might think you're in Paris!More infoLa Grande Boucherie - DCPrice: Very Expensive• French• Washington•4.5
- AAndreaWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoMy sister and I had an amazing Thanksgiving experience here. We ordered the Filet and Tail and we could not have been any happier. Victor took great care of us and ensured we had all that we needed and more. He was kind, attentive, and recommended items to us to try. My steak was cooked perfectly along with my lobster tail, but the Rockefeller Oysters stole the show. The ambiance was decadent, much like the delicious sweet potato pecan pie. I enjoyed the seasonal gin and tonic, while my sister delighted over the Bourbon Smash---the bartender did not disappoint. I did not catch her name, but we chatted for a few about various gins and bourbons. Although this was a busy day for the staff, they handled it with grace and the kitchen staff--- I mean, they really showed out. Not a dirty plate to be noted, portion sizes were consistent with the price, and special care and attention to plating was noticed. I will certainly return! If you get the chance, ask for Victor. - DDianaLos Angeles •3 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe live in Los Angeles, CA and it's our first time in DC. We had Thanksgiving Day dinner at The Hamilton and it was perfect. Our waitress, Ash, was patient and attentive. Food serving portions were generous and tasty. The ambience and decor is modern yet classic, simply wonderful.More infoThe HamiltonPrice: Moderate• American• Downtown•4.7
- BBernardWashington, D.C. Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoAn awesome experience! Highly recommend and will be back. Made a reservation for lunch for a party of 6. We were seated within 5 minutes of arrival. We were seated in a back corner and it was very hot when we sat down. The management adjusted the temperature when we informed them. Three of us got the Chef’s Tasting Menu and I added the Wine Pairing for an extra $45. The others ordered off the lunch menu. We enjoyed everything and plenty of food with the Tasting Menu. Highly recommend!More infoZaytinya - DCPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Penn Quarter•4.7
