"I went with a girlfriend for restaurant week and we had the best time! The food was delicious and there were so many choices! We added an extra course of the ricotta toast and we were glad we did! "This was our first time to Houlihan's. In fact - we had never heard of it before. Very pleased with our inaugural visit during G.R. Restaurant Week - choosing to eat outside on the patio. We splurged for two $25+ chef meals - sharing the scallops and 1/2 rack ribs. The ribs were enough to bring me back. Not your traditional fare but very tasty and meaty. Deserts were - Salted Caramel Gooey Butter Cake & Vanilla Bean Cheesecake. I preferred the Gooey Butter Cake. Probably not a great decision since we were outside. The ice cream melted a little to quickly.
My only disappointment was their selection of scotches. Johnnie Walker Black was the best option. I opted for a beer. Suggestion - get yourself a bottle of 12 year old Glenlivet - at least.
Being part of the Breton Village Mall, it's a little difficult to get to from Rockford. Particularly with the construction taking place. But we won't be discouraged by this. We will return!"See more
