Our dinner tonight was delicious. We have been to The Sea Ranch Lodge restaurant many times and have never been disappointed! The food was inventive and the dishes were outstanding with ingredients from their nearby farm. Our server, Jessie, was knowledgeable and attentive without being too intrusive. You can’t beat the setting with panoramic ocean views and the beautiful sea ranch architecture!

We enjoyed the dinner and especially the excellent service by Jaclyn - she deserves all the accolades she is getting. We were underwhelmed, however, by the sommelier who came across as pushy, steering us into ordering pricier wines and pouring our wines too quickly so we'd order more. The food was excellent - very vegetable forward! Barbecued kohlrabi was a pleasant surprise, but grilled cabbage as a substitute for abalone felt a bit light (delicious though!). Seafood was amazing, topped by the smoked cod as well as the Dungeness crab. Dessert spread was a good way to end. Flavors felt balanced and ingredients super fresh and tasty. Setting is pretty, but the structure is quite old. The grounds are beautiful, but it was too cold and windy to spend much time outside. We were a larger group so were seated in the "study" which was spacious and private, but removed from the windows and views of the ocean and sunset, which was a bummer. We wanted to stay overnight, but the hotel was very insistent on 2-night minimum, so we ended up staying at the nearby Sacred Rock Inn, which was more modern and nicer.
