Restaurants near Fort Hamilton

Caesar salad was nice and crunchy, mussels with potato gnocchi, and veal Pinot noir were both great. The crème brûlée for dessert was the right amount of sweet

The experience was a little weird. They tried to sit us by a table near the kitchen and also said they didn't see our reservation. I was wondering if this because we are Black Americans. My niece ordered a pasta with Shrimp and they brought the pasta with just sauce and tired telling us that the shrimp were ground shrimp (never heard of ground shrimp and it was not described that way on the menu). Another waiter came over and agreed that the dish did not look as it was supposed to. They did finally replace it and it was good, but it was a little disconcerting that they made us appear novice at nice restaurants. They charge you extra for using a credit card and we had 3 entrees and 2 drinks and the meal was over $300.00. Only 2 alcoholic beverages, 1 pasta and 2 fish entrees. I checked the bill and it seemed correct, but I was too tired to argue, or delve deeper, it had been a long travel day. Not sure I would go there again and the food was OK!!!

One of our favorite places. Food is good and fresh. But today we got a little disappointed. We ordered kani salad and it wasn't fresh. It was very cold, like it was from the freezer and all the ingredients were over frozen.

Wonderful place. Staff was so professional and welcoming. This is a direct reflection of of Greg the operator.m who makes it a point to visit every table. It was crowded when we got there but worth the wait.
