"Great meal before Thievery Corporation. Staff were very accommodating when we called to say we were running late. Food and drinks were very good. Second time we've eaten here before a HOB show and will definitely do it again!"See more
"Mu husband and I were in town for a Boston Conservatory event, and selected Hojoko because it had ramen on the menu. But we found so much more!
The wait staff were each intelligent, very well versed in and comfortable with their menu and food prep, personable, and very responsive. They had a clear pride in working here.
A little noisy, it has a great energy to it. Clearly a hoppin' bar scene, perhaps in part to being adjacent to the very hip Verb hotel.
The list of different sakes -- all served cold to better appreciate their nuances -- was very, very long.
You have GOT to try the Nori Tuna Taco. What a surprise, and a deeeeelish one at that. It's not always available (they make the nori-based taco shells on premises), so if it is, DO NOT PASS IT UP!
The cuisine was just very creative, fresh, and yummy.
Oh, and the ramen? Yes. We had it, it was delish, and we were able to a) split the large bowl between us which then b) allowed us to customize how we liked it: my husband added a sampling of the spicy pork as well as the available spicy Japanese relish. The pork is usually part of the second ramen offering on the menu, but the waitress was happy to accommodate with a little sample dish of the pork."See more
"Nice buzzy atmosphere, friendly staff who were very helpful with arranging the table to suit our party, first class sushi, my favourite dish a mackerel starter, interesting twist on the rolls with some quite spicy, sort of a Szechuan take on Japanese food. We thought the bill very modest for this quality of food."See more
"I brought a friend here who was visiting for work and staying close by. It was an an excellent choice. The server made great recommendations to us, was friendly and attentive. I am definitely coming back!"See more
