Several years ago, I decided that my future in the restaurant business would most likely not remain in the realm of fine dining and gourmands, but would rather lean towards the style of restaurant that I found myself frequenting most often - places that provided consistency and quality at a price that was fair for the quality of the food and experience. Public House plays to the comforts of good, solid food, while applying the principles of premium food products to a more casual setting. You will find all the fish is delivered from Foley’s in Boston, high quality steaks and a rotating selection of vegetable sides that are true to the region and season. Amos the server was excellent. He is pro. The food is good and overall great experience for a family style meal earlier in the evening. We had two small ones and they handled with menu and crayons and service really well.

Had reservations on Mother’s Day so expected to still have wait time but was pleasantly surprised, we did not. Some favorite items were no longer available on menu and one item on menu that I wanted wasn’t available. One of our dishes was overly salty. Food cost was a little on the higher side but not unexpected. Server was ok, but a little slow at providing some items needed, for example, no shell crackers or wipes. Had to ask for them just to say, I will bring more. We never received them in first place.
