I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed the Mac-n-cheese, collard greens, cornbread, and chicken everything was seasoned well and tasted authentic. I’ve tried soul food at other establishments and was surprised that this was the first restaurant where I truly enjoyed the food!!! Not only was the food great the drinks specifically the frozen peach D”Usse was goodt!!!! They did not skim you on any of the liquor…definitely recommend. I would actually recommend this place to anyone visiting Atlanta. The only improvement needed is with the wait time for food as we waited over and hour for our food, I also ordered catfish and my plate arrived with shrimp as they had ran out of catfish and no one came to inform me. Once our server realized the mistake she immediately corrected the order and substituted the shrimp with chicken. Overall great experience just needs more hands in the kitchen. I had an incredible experience at this restaurant! The ambiance, food, drinks, and service were outstanding. I was especially surprised by how much I enjoyed the mac and cheese, collard greens, cornbread, and chicken—all perfectly seasoned and tasting truly authentic. Having tried soul food at other places, this was the first time I genuinely loved everything I ate. The drinks were just as impressive, particularly the frozen peach D’Usse, which was fantastic! They didn’t hold back on the liquor, either—a big plus. I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Atlanta. That said, there is room for improvement with the wait time, as we waited over an hour for our food. Additionally, I ordered catfish but received shrimp instead, as they had run out of catfish, and no one informed me. Once our server realized the mistake, she quickly fixed it and substituted the shrimp with chicken. Despite these minor setbacks, it was an overall great experience. From the warm host greeting to the pre-dinner cocktails, to the meal itself it was a great experience. Amy was attentive and knowledgeable and kept pace with any needs. The lobster Mac was amazing. Parking can be a little daunting but the nearby garages make it an easy transition. Highly recommend.More infoThe SelectPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Sandy Springs•4.7

- QQueenettaAtlanta Metro •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 25, 2024We had a reservation for 4:15 but we didn’t get seated until around 4:30. Having a reservation I expected to be seated once we arrived but it was Christmas Day so it was busy. The waitress was amazing but the people bringing the food was a little slow. We got our entree before we got our appetizer. We had to constantly ask for our bread and we never received it until the end of our meal which was around 6:30. It took a little longer for us to get our check but again it was a busy evening. The food was a little pricey but it was worth the quality and the portions were ok. I would definitely suggest this location for a special occasion or even a nice date. They had a live singer downstairs (we were seated upstairs) you could hear her clearly throughout the entire restaurant which was nice. We will be back we enjoyed the whole evening.More infoDel Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse - AtlantaPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Dunwoody•4.2
