Restaurants near Comfort Inn Corydon

Since we were staying at Hotel Distil for a weekend getaway, we had brunch twice at Repeal and also dinner seated in the bar area. All meals were excellent. For brunch, we did more of the traditional breakfast items (there are some more lunch-like options available as well). The blue crab omelette was AMAZING. Servers were all very friendly and personable. It did seem to be a good idea to get a reservation even for brunch on the early side (9-10am). For dinner, we hadn't gotten a reservation, but if you get there around 5pm, it's likely you can get a two-top table in the bar area which serves the same menu as the main dining room. One of the best steaks I've ever had, salads were delicious, sides were great, and three cheers for a truly sharp steak knife! We'd happily go back to Repeal next time that we're in Louisville.

Beth and Nicholas did an amazing job on my birthday dinner. Every member of the staff wished me a happy birthday. Beth walked us through the menu with recommendations. My friend had the Beef Wellington, and he enjoyed it. I had the American Wagyu Ribeye and it was a beautiful, flavor filled steak with great texture and expertly cooked to a perfect medium rare throughout. We split an order of the Brussels sprouts on the side, and they were also excellent. Paired with Gordon’s Old Fashioned, it was a remarkable way to celebrate my birthday.

I had heard a lot of good things about this place and turns out they were all true. The decor immediately made me feel like I was in Cuba, not Louisville. Our waiter was so adorable and helpful with suggestions for appetizers and drinks, we had the Testones and Cuban Nachos with the Sangria. The appetizer portions were huge and delicious, so we didn’t order entrees. I had mentioned it was my friend’s Birthday, and at the end of the meal, our waiter brought her a piece of dark chocolate cake along with a Happy Birthday serenade by a very talented saxophone player. All in all, it was a delightful experience and I will be back!!

We chose Jeff Ruby's to celebrate our 15th anniversary and we couldn't be happier. Matt started us off with glasses of champagne and helped us make our selections. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and the differences between the meats. Him and his team brought out the courses giving us ample time to finish each. The food was incredible, the steak was cooked perfectly and the service was impeccable. Thank you to Matt and the entire Jeff Ruby's team for making it a wonderful experience.

Everything was fine except for the room temperature in the dining area. It could not have been more than 62°F which made it rather uncomfortable.
