Always a pleasure to visit Clonakilla. I thought it was interesting that our sommelier explicitly chose not to give us tasting notes for each wine. I understand not being prescriptivist, but I’m also always looking to learn more about wines and how they’re made, so I’m not sure this novel approach was what I had in mind. Still, the somm was happy to let us guess tasting notes and then fill what we might have missed, which made for a fun challenge. The wines were of course delicious, including some varieties which I hadn’t tried before - notably, the GSM, Bordeaux blend and Pinot Noir. The tastings are very generous - we were able to try virtually all the wines on offer, and the price was written off with the purchase of a bottle. I walked away with a bottle of O’Riada Shiraz, which is a consistent favourite of mine, and excellent value at $45 a bottle. It’s very exciting that Clonakilla are growing their own Cabernet Franc for use in their Bordeaux blend, and I hope one day that they consider dabbling in a single grape Cabernet Franc - we should be so lucky.

Took visitors from Sydney to lunch. Food and atmosphere on a cold winter day was wonderful. Great value for money and not hurried to finish our meals. Fire place in the bar area is an added bonus for after lunch drinks.

The super polite staff was very efficient in waiting on my partner and me. The food was served in an acceptable time frame and delicious.

Two Before Ten is a fantastic cafe. I've been several times and have not been disappointed. The staff are fantastic and nothing is too much for them. Love it!
