Definitely get the carne asada that was fire 🔥. The yucca was good but I wished the sauce was in a cup on the side. Maybe ask them if they can do that when you order. Beef tartar was gas too. The pupusas were amazing. The lengua and the oyster mushrooms. But personally I enjoyed the mushrooms more. Because I also enjoy mushrooms so a lot of good flavors. The offrenda drink is really good as well 🤙🏾

I met a friend for lunch there. It was great. I was able to make a reservation. I'm not working right now, but my friend does work. I wanted a place where we'd not be stuck in a line to get food. We could sit, eat, and catch up. Bocanova provided that. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was great. It was well seasoned and didn't have too much salt. We shared the Brussels sprouts appetizer, and I got one of the lunch specials. It was an ahi tuna schnitzel, and was very good. My friend got some smaller dishes. I'm not exactly sure which ones, but she seemed to enjoy the food as much as I did. It's a great spot for a casual lunch in a great location. I'm glad that I chose it!

Peony is a great OG choice for dim sum in Oakland's Chinatown. There's an underground parking garage in the complex so it makes for easy parking, and access to the restaurant. Parking fees and overall ease to find parking were typical of a metropolitan city, in my opinion. When we arrived the restaurant, we were greeted by staff and promptly seated at our table. Ordering was a breeze through a QR code. In addition, staff also walked around with trays of various dishes that you could order right then and there. Service was attentive without being overly so, or fussy. Peony offers a number of typical, traditional dim sum plates, but also has a variety of creative, new dishes too. Best of both worlds. We will be back!

This was my second time coming to Pierre Pierre and I absolutely love it.

It was Friday and busy, but having to wait a tad bit more (even with having a reservation) was worth it! The flavor was real, and the service was great. The space is charming...right down to the lovely cocktails that were made so well. Returning to Pintoh is a must, and I cannot wait to try something new on my next visit.
