The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. Food, as always, excellent. 3 salads were very, very good. Lasagne excellent. Try coffee & mini pudding option- great value. It was nice to see the pub a bit busier than usual, one girl serving was so nice, really pleasant. She was a little rushed off her feet at times but coped admirably. 5* for her!
