Several years ago, I decided that my future in the restaurant business would most likely not remain in the realm of fine dining and gourmands, but would rather lean towards the style of restaurant that I found myself frequenting most often - places that provided consistency and quality at a price that was fair for the quality of the food and experience. Public House plays to the comforts of good, solid food, while applying the principles of premium food products to a more casual setting. You will find all the fish is delivered from Foley’s in Boston, high quality steaks and a rotating selection of vegetable sides that are true to the region and season.     Our experience was great start to finish. We were seated promptly and Chloe our server took great care of us. We got our food quickly and it was delicious. The shrimp and grits is some of the best we’ve had anywhere, and the seared tuna salad was beautifully presented and tasted so good. Stir is our favorite place to eat in Chattanooga.

    Benjamin, at the bar, is a treasure! The soup of the week, chicken rice, was delicious. My oysters were served with a unique serrano and ginger mignonette, and the stuffed poblano was SO good! Benjamin created a unique cocktail for starters, I'm not sure he has named it yet. I also enjoyed a Corpse Reviver II. My husband was not imbibing, but he enjoyed a delicious NA cocktail called Jump in the Line.

    Delicious! The flavors were amazing. Loved the crab special with the most amazing sauce. Order the golden beets for a fresh and light side. The strip with chimichurri was fantastic as well. Highly recommend!
