Urban Gleaners Second Annual Summer Supper is a unique walk-around tasting event that celebrates our local food system, showcases the versatility of upcycled food, and directly benefits our mission of reducing food waste and food insecurity in our community.This event is an opportunity to indulge in the culinary creations of 14 of Portland’s most beloved chefs. Chefs will be preparing small plates from gleaned and upcycled ingredients, showcasing what the potentials and possibilities are with food that is considered “waste.” Joining our chefs will be various local beer, wine, cocktail and non-alcoholic vendors.Summer Supper is not only an opportunity to experience some great food, but also a chance to support a noble cause and to learn and raise awareness about food waste and sustainability in our community. We will have different booths with our local non-profit partners and local farms we glean, with various activities focused around food sustainability.All ages welcome!
