I really enjoyed Rickerby Retreat and found the food and drink to be of high quality. Burgers and Falafel Wraps we’re key winners here - both very fresh, juicy and delicious. The ambience is very pleasant too and lovely views of the park but can get cooler on the terrace at a night and a little spooky with limited lighting. Service is acceptable - lacks personalisation and took a little while at times but still not terrible. Value was okay too.

Everything was truly excellent , wonderful. The meal was delicious the steak cooked perfectly and complemented exquisitely with peppers, courgettes, onions, green pesto, flat bread and a smooth glass of room temperature red . I loved every mouthful. Compliments to the chef! We'll be back 😊

Absolutely delicious food, well presented, very generous portions, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Pleasant ambience, warm and welcoming, and quite quiet. Would definitely return to try the other options!

I highly recommend Walkabout Carlisle! The food and service quality was truly exceptional, I can't wait to come back. Saige was very helpful behind the bar. The menu had a vast variety and catered for anybody.
