Meals are always good as usual. Booked outside table did give us one with heater but forgot to tell us you didn't get table service as you do inside until asked 8pm by this time. Did get offered a table inside. Service is perfect once inside. I do think you should expect the same service inside or out but at least let you know you have to go inside to order. All good in the end.

A really lovely meal in a great pub. Great service, food is consistently good here.

We had a good welcome ( the only people dining at 16.00). The service was good and the food of good quality. We did feel that the menu was rather overpriced. We have had meals of similar quality and better in cities such as London and Edinburgh at a cheaper price. Not sure why the overheads would be more expensive in a small pub off the beaten track. Would recommend this restaurant as offering good food from a small menu but rather overpriced.

Our first visit to the Rose And Crown for quite a while and we were delighted to find it as excellent as before. Very relaxed ambience in unspoilt old world bar. Very friendly and efficient service. Choice of three cask beers kept in tip-top condition. Lovely food- between us we had the steak and venison pie, the fish and chips, and the vegetarian aubergine, all of them quite delicious. As were the posset and the sticky toffee pudding to follow. We hope to return before too long.

We had booked as we all wanted a Sunday roast, but they weren't on the menu. But we weren't disappointed the sausage n mash with yorkshire pudding was delicious and fantastic value for money.
