Restaurants near Calvert Cliffs State Park

There were six of us in our party. We were able to sit in the bar area and had only a brief wait for our table in the atrium-which is what we requested. The bartender was kind enough to snap our picture while we waited. Our server was friendly yet professional. The bread was warm and the butter was spreadable. Our food arrived quickly and the hot meals were hot. Three of our out-of-town guests said they would rate their meal as 5-stars. High praise from these world travelers.

Wonderful dining experience: attentive service, quick water servers, wine server that was different from our meal and bar drinks server, delicious food, nice wine list, nice views from the screened porch. Only drawback: CLOSE seating for the 4 tops on the porch! Everyone was smiling & having a good time, so it wasn't a problem. Ample parking. Full set of stairs at entry to the restaurant/bar level. Very pleasant evening.

Date night dinner with my wife. We each had a special for our entree. She had the Mahi Mahi Rice Bowl and I had the Prime Rib which was blackened. Both meals were delicious! Amanda was our server and she did a great job!

The food was amazing! The Service was excellent! The restaurant decor is beautifully done. The noise level was the only problem I had. It is a very noisy restaurant. It’s hard to hear those sitting at the table with you. But, back to the food & the service - it was amazing! We’ll be back.

Island Hideaway has become my favorite restaurant in Solomons: the atmosphere is a mix of all the best elements from a marina seafood diner, your local neighborhood bar, and your favorite "special occasion"/white linen but still somehow casual fine dining independent restaurant. It is casual and welcoming, with an intimate feel even though its a busy place, and the food is highest quality ingredients prepared as if by a personal chef: everything is fresh and perfectly done. I have enjoyed their perfect chicken potpie in the winter, various seafood options in spring & summer, & tonight I had the seafood pasta dish with huge pieces of a variety of fresh seafood & the best alfredo sauce I've had in YEARS, perhaps ever. Love everything about this place, the staff, the chef/the cooks...I want to keep it hidden away ;)
