Our dad, Mikey and grandfather, Mel were deli “regulars,” dining at their favorite Cleveland, Ohio places. Mikey and grandfather. They savored juicy pastrami and corned beef, amazingly fresh pickles and intensely huge deserts. Their daily deli lunches were times to conduct business, strike deals and make friends. We often joined our dad and grandfather at the deli table. We remember the sights, smells and sounds of our favorite local deli–from the simple comforting decor to the aroma of deli meats and sour pickles. We also recall the brash and snarky staff. Went for brunch with the in-laws and the food was delightful as was the atmosphere. Would have loved to partake in restaurant week but had plans the rest of the day. I will definitely keep that in mind for the next time around.

This is my 2nd visit to Swahili Village in Beltsville. The food was outstanding and even our guests, who were experiencing Swahili food for the first time loved it! It was a quiet night so the ambiance was perfect for our birthday party! The only bad part was our server. He was a lovely man but he was sooo slow bringing our meal. And he brought out the birthday cake before we finished dinner. I would definitely return again and again. The food is the best and we still had a great time!!

Excellent service and great ambience for a breakfast and lunch spot! The food was for the most part really good. But be careful about ordering the salted salmon omelette. I love salty foods but wow I have never tasted anything so salty. A piece of bread touched the omelette and the bread was suddenly very salty as well. But everything else was great according to my family members!
