- MMatthewAustin •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoFantastic birthday dinner! Sat at the bar, and had the amazing Brian (Bryan?) pick from the menu for us. Best idea! Everything was absolutely wonderful. Hamachi, and the Wagyu short rib served with the hot stone were a couple favorites, but everything was perfectly done. Cocktails were on point! Great to see Paul back on the scene (and busting his butt in the kitchen!), and with such great success. Will definitely return to Top Roe!More infoTop RoePrice: Very Expensive• Japanese• Downtown•4.5

The new flatbread appetizer showcases this ethos beautifully: a delicate, crisp base crowned with vibrant, freshly harvested tomatoes and bright, herbaceous salsa — a light yet flavorful entry into the meal. The Veracruz empanadas are a standout, too. Each pocket is filled with shrimp, scallops, and perfectly cooked peppers and onions, reflecting meticulous attention to ingredient quality. And the desserts are no afterthought — the pavlova is ethereal: with a crisp meringue topping, tart lemon sorbet, and a creamy base with just the right balance of sweetness to cap off the experience. 🍹 Drinks That Elevate Whether you choose the spirited margarita or the non-alcoholic version, both are expertly balanced — tangy, refreshing, and beautifully crafted. 🌾 Hand‑Ground Masa & Tortillas One detail that truly sets Comedor apart is its nixtamalized masa. They hand-grind every batch in-house, embracing traditional techniques to produce tortillas that are fresh, tender, and unmistakably authentic. 👨💼 Impeccable Service Led by Adrian Service at Comedor feels deeply personal. Adrian, the general manager, circulates attentively throughout the dining room — monitoring every table, anticipating needs before guests even voice them. That level of genuine care adds warmth and polish to the meal without ever being overbearing. Comedor takes modern Mexican dining to a new heights. With Adrian’s hospitality steering the front-of-house, every visit feels curated just for you. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone or simply indulging in a lovely evening out, Comedor delivers an experience that’s both sophisticated and deeply authentic.More infoComedorPrice: Very Expensive• Mexican• Downtown•4.7

Cheyenne our server was outstanding, knew the menu cold and made excellent recommendations for food and beverages. The restaurant was beautiful and had great ambience but the food was by far the star. Every dish carefully curated interesting and delicious.
