Restaurants near Alaska Center for the Performing Arts

It’s been a few years since we had last been here (we have toddlers so we don’t get many date nights) and the service and food once again did not disappoint! You’ll pretty much be happy with any food item you get, and I definitely recommend their famous espresso martini with the bananas foster cheesecake egg rolls for dessert. Amazing service, looking forward to coming again :)

The food was delicious, as always! Excited to see a few former drink specials make it on the menu as regulars. While I would love to see some food “specials”I know I’m just going to order the Dark Horse with GF noodles and extra egg and extra rayu on the side regardless. The Milk + Honey whiskey was delicious and the steaks looked 🔥!!

It’s usually excellent but our server this time was not very attentive. He did not come back to fill my wine or check on us. I was surprised. He certainly checked on others around us.

I appreciate that Tent City has so many gluten-free options. They've also added some items to the menu so I tried the salmon filet sandwich, and it was delicious! The gluten-free bun was buttery, more like a biscuit, and not at all the dense, spongy texture I've come to expect from gluten-free bread. I would ask for that option when ordering a burger in the future. My friend had the excellent halibut and chips, which may be the only gluten-free fish and chips available in Anchorage. Service was friendly and our server took the time to talk about new items on the various menus. I would definitely recommend Tent City for lunch, dinner or brunch on the weekends.
