Goat cheese balls, of course were fantastic. We had the Smashburger, which was very good. The fillet was out of this world and probably the best steak I’ve ever had. The Wolf bread is amazing and all the drinks we had were great. We will definitely go back.

The concierge at the Marriott Timber Lodge recommended the Bistro. After making the reservation, we read some not-so-nice reviews and were worried about our choice. Those doubts were soon extinguished when we entered the restaurant, took in its ambiance and met our server, Michael. Michael gave excellent service, described the specials well, and had a good sense of humor. The bartender made one of the best martinis I've ever had. Our appetizers - the burrata and the salad with beets, walnuts, etc. were beautiful and tasty. My wife had the Berkshire pork chop, which was flavorful - and a substantial portion. I had the lamb chops, which were slightly charred on the outside - almost like the grill flared up and burned the outside of the meat - but the inside was on the rare side and good. After dinner, we had the flight of Tawny Port wine - what a treat. The flight includes a glass each of 10, 20, 30, and 40-year-old ports. All were good; my wife favored the 30 years. I enjoyed them all. We don't usually have an after-dinner drink, but it was a special occasion, and we enjoyed the tasting. The ambiance of the Bistro is beautiful. You have a great lake view, an expansive patio area with an open flame burning, and comfortable chairs in the restaurant - just a great environment to enjoy a fine meal. Our Tahoe favorite has always been Evans' American, but the food selection, quality, ambiance and service at the Bistro is right there with Evans. We'll go to the Bistro again!

Great food and our server was awesome! They keep the side door open for the servers to reach the patio. It was way too cold and breezy in that location next to the windows down stairs so we asked to be moved and they did. This was lunch time so not super busy.

They made our birthday celebration a wonderful experience! The staff greeted Roger with a big happy birthday, our server also knew. The dinner was superb and lava cake out of this world!

We had the best server, she was a huge addition to our experience. The food we everything we had hoped for. The lobster risotto is a must. My husband had filet mignon which was cooked perfect . Would totally recommend this restaurant.
