Walk-in's always welcome! Screen Door is a restaurant that presents itself as a love letter to the American South and the revival of regional cooking. Each day, the restaurant receives natural, local organic meats and produce from nearby vendors. The inclusion of regional Pacific Northwest ingredients into a menu of dishes developed in the south has created a unique flavor profile in Screen Door's menu. Many of Screen Doors dishes draw their inspiration from Louisiana and the Cajun cooking that's found there. These include our world-famous Fried Chicken, Lowcountry shrimp and grits, smoked andouille chicken gumbo and fried okra. Other items, like the house-smoked beef brisket and braised pork shoulder, come straight from the state of Texas. The rest of the South is well represented as well with a Carolina pulled pork sandwich, chicken and waffles, crispy fried oysters and a pimiento cheese & sausage biscuit sandwich with a fried egg and cheddar grits.

Our restaurant is small and fills up fast, although not always needed reservations are highly recommended (especially during peak hours 6pm-8pm). NEW MENU LAUNCH APRIL 2024!Cereus was created by 2 friends with a passion for hospitality. Our Colombian staffed kitchen moved across the world and several states to serve you their amazing creations. Bringing them together here was in part a love letter to our co-founder Phil Chung's wife Alejandra from Bogotá. Our beverage program was developed by our other co-founder Bradley Stephens, who wanted to create a menu that is as unique to this part of the world as our chef's food. Taking favorite classics that are rarely found in the PNW ad variations of others that he believes are their best versions. With one of the most diverse spirits lists in town, and award winning originals.

Our family celebrated my daughter's 23rd birthday at Salty's on Thursday (5/23/24). They had discounted oysters that night, which was a pleasant surprise. I had made reservations and requested a table with a view for the celebration. We had a wonderful table, already decorated cheerfully with an incredible view of the river and the sailboats out for a sunset sail. My daughter enjoyed herself immensely and commented that this is one birthday she will always remember. Thank you to all the staff that made this come together so nicely. You are so appreciated. I want my birthday there in October!

This is a great place to grab dinner with friends or celebrate a special occasion. My husband & I have spent a few of our anniversaries here, including our most recent. The food is always delicious and our server, Stephanie, was great. She was knowledgeable on both the food and beverage menu and made great recommendations. We really enjoyed ourselves & thank the staff at Laurelhurst Market for helping make our celebration special.

The first very good rice table since Amsterdam in 1972. Informative service, great food. Will return for the happy hour menu, but for the full rice table only once a year.
