Restaurant recently re-opened, and they are having problems. Our meal took a long time to get to us, and was cold when it did arrive. Bar service also took a long time, both for pre-dinner drink and wine bottle with meal.
FOOD WAS EXCELLENT - WAIT STAFF SUPERB AND OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS 5 STAR
Fine and enjoyable
One of our best dining experiences since moving here 9 months ago.
The Lakeside Restaurant is very nice due to its location from the resort. Its very convenient, and if you are celebrating a special occasion, it is the perfect outlet to do so.
This was our second visit for Sunday brunch.. Our server Meagan, was fantastic. She was the only server with about 4-5 tables. We were relaxed and enjoying our cocktails. What the hell was happening in the kitchen? Who knows. The manager planted himself back their with two others. Eventually a fourth showed up. Now mind you, 1 server for 5 tables and four in the kitchen for 5 tables. Our soup arrived cold. We both ordered the sliders. Now, I have had them prior and loved them. This time however, we waited 45 minutes before asking to leave. These are 2 sliders about 2-3 ounces per. 45 minutes is ridiculous with 4 in the kitchen. We were told that they had to get beef from the hotel and that the manager would come a talk with us. We declined to stay. Megan was nice enough to comp our champagne. The manager in the other hand dropped a to go box on the table with a “sorry” all the while not even stopping. Our opinion is that they deserve another chance but that this manager has no clue how to run an establishment. With one beef item in the menu why were they not stocked for Sunday brunch? Why is there four in the kitchen and 1 in the dining room? The manager really was the weak link.
Our server was amazing. Food was top notch. Lobster mac left little to be desired but she took it off the bill. Will be back!
Service was average. For a fine dining restaurant had to make several requests of wait staff, ie: water refill, etc..This was an extremely slow night for them, therefore did not feel there was an excuse for lack of service. Food was average. The scenic water view during sunset is the attraction to this restaurant.
Food was cold. It was not busy. Maybe 10 others in restaurant. Sent baked potato back and it returned 15 minutes later still cold. Way overpriced and not worth it. Went into town and had a great meal. Others who stayed at same time frame said they never had a decent meal while on property.
We had incredible service from a young woman, who was originally from South Africa. I think her name was Kiera. She was lovely. The meal was awesome. My wife is a foodie and she was over the moon. It sounds strange, but you have to have the bacon appetizer.
Loved It! Great food with Great service! Our server (Keira) made sure we enjoyed our food and enjoyed our time. Food came out fast and was just the right portion.
Excellent experience. We will return in the future.
Bad service. The hostess was awesome and did more than her fair share of trying to help out. I wish i could say the same about the manager on duty.
We made reservations got there and you had a sign on the door that you were closed we weren't happy. So we went to another restaurant.
The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The food is excellent every time we go, it never disappoints. We prefer here over Woodlands restaurants as it is of same or better quality and closer in proximity.
My wife and I love this place....been many times......But I guess not during summer months.....Several families with rowdy kids and a couple that screamed thru out dinner........parents and management should be ashamed to allow that! Will not be back until school is back in session. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
I visited on a gift certificate for two overnight suites, golf and dinner for 4 that comped all food, taxes and gratuities except alcohol.
The golf was excellent other than they were restricting cart usage to the paths only. The course was not wet yet they would not relent. In 100 degree heat it made for an exhausting round of golf. Check in was seamless and we retired to our rooms to cool off. The rooms are just okay. The facility needs an upgrade. We did not use any other amenities.
The food was great, Trudi, our server did a fantastic job making sure our orders were correct and delivered in a timely fashion.
We had wine and beer and the choices were all top shelf. I paid the alcohol bill and added an additional tip for the good service. However, as I get CC billing alerts on my phone, I found out that the restaurant charged me for the whole dinner amount even though our server took my gift certificate prior to us being seated. I spent the better part of the evening trying to get the charge reversed. It still was not handled when we checked out the next morning. I finally received an email from the hotel the following day indicating that they had voided the charge. For the most part we were satisfied, and the staff were kind and friendly. This is not a destination I would make an effort to revisit though.
The food was amazing! The presentation and service was spot on!
We were very disappointed I the food. The steaks was very bland and chewy.
Also, it was very hot inside the restaurant. We were sweating. We even mentioned it to the waitress and she said, yes they know and that she literally threw on her work clothes five minutes before her shift because of the heat inside.
Loved every aspect of this restaurant. Excellent service. The bartender, Billy, was great.
We ate at this restaurant two nights in a row for business meals. Unfortunately, the food was nothing to write home about. The appetizers were fine; however, the dinners themselves were sub par. The waitress was as sweet as she could be but promised so many things, and never produced (bread, etc). It was disappointing, and then funny. We thought it was the first night, but the second night was no different. It was disappointing because they have such a GREAT location/ view and captive audience. Both nights we came away feeling slightly ill (one of us one night and another the next). I do not think I will plan on booking again.
We waited for ever,,,My fish was cold, the Medium Well Steak was well done. Waitress was very apologetic, and helpful. Just was not real impressed overall
While the food was average the service is what would bring us back to Lakeside. Trudi was a very attentive waitress, warm and friendly. She was very knowledgable about the menu and wine list.
We dine here often; pork chop delicious as always, however all of us were disappointed in the lobster Mac and cheese. Dry, had been much better in the past.
Stayed at La Torretta for the weekend. Its a fine hotel and did exactly what we needed, but the Four Seasons its not, so we expected the restaurant to be similar. We made reservations at Lakeside at the last minute and were pleasantly surprised at every turn. Service was great, food was great, atmosphere was outstanding. The best compliment I can pay it is that we returned the next night.
I need to go out of my way to mention the outstanding GM who was also waiting tables. Keep up the good work and we'll be back.
The grouper and sea bass meals were fantastic and expertly presented. Compliments to the chef! One of the best meals I have ever had. Made the occasion very special.
We had a great time, sat outside and had dinner by the water. The staff from the manager, servers, and waiters/waitresses was awesome. This was some of the best service I’ve received in my life. I will be back soon.
Good food and service. Right on the water. Come by boat or Car.
This was our first time visiting this Restaurant. We were celebrating our 19 yr Anniversary. I give it a 10 all the way around. We went early (5pm) and had the whole place to ourselves, with a lake view table. Food was amazing. Service was outstanding. We were even surprised with an amazing complimentary “death by chocolate cake” in celebration of our Anniversary. We will definitely be returning customers!
The chef regularly changes the menu to improve it based on customer feedback. Waiters/waitresses/MGMT/Chef are all top notch. Add to this the excellent patio on the lake, and it is a favorite. Excellent wine list, excellent service, and Michelin should come eat here. Very reasonable for the level of product provided. Cannot recommend it enough!
Great food and drinks! Spiced Cider was great!
My wife and I dined here on a Friday night. The facility is really nice. Elegant with a beautiful view. Typical steak and seafood menu of a nice restaurant. It wasn’t very busy, and the staff were very attentive. Maybe a little more attentive and in a little more of a rush than they needed to be, but it was fine. We were not rushed or in a hurry. I had the beef tenderloin and my wife had the grouper. Both of which were prepared and presented well. The wine list is good and well stocked with reasonably priced selections. This is a nice solid place. Nothing flamboyant and completely predictably good. This would be a nice quiet place for a group of adults to have a nice meal and conversation with a great view overlooking the water. We will definitely be back again.
Out experience could not have been better. Service was amazing, Trudy was truly welcoming. Food was excellent. Order the Bacon Trio appetizer. So yummy! I had a steak that was cooked to perfection. My husbands pork chop was amazing with the bacon apple butter. They were very sweet and brought us a piece of chocolate cake for our Anniversary. However, my husband hate chocolate yet he ate almost all the cake and loved it. Not overly sweet just right!
My wife and I had come for happy hour the previous day (from 4-6 pm) and enjoyed our time so much that we got here at 4:15, even though our reservation wasn't until 7 pm.
Megan, our waitress, greeted us at the door, and since we were their first customers of the day, we were able to pick our table. We sat right in front of their large windows, overlooking the lake which, due to the incoming cold front, was almost covered in a thick blanket of fog. It was quite the sight!
My wife and I took advantage of their happy hour specials. We each got their bacon macaroni and cheese plates. My wife had the farmhouse lemonade cocktail, which she now says is her go-to drink of choice, and I stuck with Bud Light.
To eat, my wife had the 8 oz Flat Iron steak, and I had the Herb Crusted Grouper Fillet, both of which were amazing! The food, drinks, and service at Lakeside Restaurant and Bar never fails! My wife and I would know, as we've been to the resort 6 times already and have dined at Lakeside 8 times. Not once have we ever been disappointed, and we cannot wait to return!
Food was prepared as ordered and very tasty. Service was outstanding.
Such a lovely location and great value for the money. Highly recommended!
Excellent food and even better service. Would recommend 100%
Overpriced for what you get in portions and service. The pork tenderloin was awesome and the steak was good. $100+ for a steak, a pork tenderloin, 2 salads, 1 side and 3 drinks, I would of preferred going to Outback.
Food was very good (except my husbands steak was a bit tough and fatty). The dessert was exceptional. Our waitress was very, very nice, but we waited for 45 minutes to just get bread and that was after a reminder. We then waited another 15 minutes for appetizers (salad and seafood bisque). Service must improve if we are to return.
Our waiter made our 22nd anerversiy the best. Thank u
