We had a great server, Tara! She was so funny, made accurate recommendations, and stayed on top of everyone's drink orders. She was a shining star!

We were there on a Saturday night so the noise level was pretty loud. Food is ok - wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there. Standard pub food.

Food was excellent. Menu was different than posted on the web. Service (Matthew) was the best. Drinks were strong and delicious. Food arrived in a timely manner. In and out in less than an hour and didn't feel rushed at all. Will definitely return.

My husband and I had a Friday night 7:15 pm reservation for our first time at LVG, and we were seated promptly. The seating was comfortable, art work was interesting, and the food arrived fairly quickly. Our server asked the chef if I could still order the shrimp sandwich even though the menu had changed from the website, and I was able to do so. The very large sandwich was really good with fried jumbo shrimp. The cheese grits, on the other hand, were bland. My husband enjoyed his hamburger with a fried egg and fries.
It did take an unreasonable amount of time to wait to receive our check, but the server returned quickly. The restaurant was somewhat loud, but it wasn't as noisy in the back room.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I plan to return to LVG to try the paleo burger with bacon and egg with side salad.

The food here was excellent. I enjoyed a medium well chef's burger while my girlfriend enjoyed the cordon bleu. Both were delicious. However, the service my girlfriend and I received was not good at all. For a slow Wednesday evening, our waiter was not very attentive to us. For starters, our waiter was short and was more occupied talking at the bar with his co-workers rather than serving us. Our waiter seemed to engage every table in his section much more than ours, forgot to place our appetizer order, and did not refill our drinks the entire night. Overall, the food was great, but my girlfriend and I left pretty disappointedly with the service.

I specifically chose Lafayette Village Grill for Valentine’s Day because it’s where I met my now fiancé 4 years and 8 months ago. It’s one of those dates one can remember like it was yesterday. Village Grill reserved that same booth for me without hesitation, and made a great night even more special. Thank you Village Grill!

Awesome! Hubby and I went for Valentines Day dinner. I had the quiche and salad. I love quiche and have it often when we are out to eat. The quiche, tomato and mozzarella, was the best I have ever had EVER! The salad could have been just a tiny bit more but was yummy with the best balsamic dressing I've had lately.

Hubby had the Grouper special and was super happy that I had the great idea of making reservations here.

Hardly had room for dessert but decided to share the Chocolate topped Strawberry Cheesecake. It was Heaven on a plate.

Our server was very attentive but not pesty. I hate it when they hover, and he didn't.

Both Riesling and Moscato were delicious.

All in all a very nice romantic dinner. Very happy! We have only been there maybe six times, but it is going to be more often!!!

Thanks!!!

I appreciated the variety of choices on the menu (although so many things seemed appealing that it took awhile to decide on a meal.) I intend to return before long to try other options. I liked the choice of specialty cocktails also. Service was good and setting was casual but pleasant.

This was our first time visiting. Triangle Restaurant Week helped us find a new fave! Excellent fusion dishes, first rate friendly service and our picky eater in the bunch found a new place to get a plain cheeseburger. Wide menu - we can’t wait to go back and try more things!!

The food was good and the staff friendly and sympathetic to the temperature in the resturarnt. I wouldn't recommend going there on a really cold day like we have had this week as the building has no auxiliary heat. We were early in thier day so maybe it gets better as there are more and more people to help warm it up.

We love this place. American cuisine is always good and waitstaff is friendly and attentive. This is super family friendly and fun for adults with group tables and plenty of sports to view. The Kevins are great!

Third time visiting Village Grill and the food never disappoints. Our waiter could have been a bit more attentive but it doesn't take away from the great food this place offers. Nice place to hang out with or meet friends, a business lunch or just about any occasion. Atmosphere is lively and fun so if you are looking for a quiet , secluded spot this is not the place. However, if you are looking for a place that serves consistently great food with an upbeat vibe then you can't go wrong.

It was just we two for Thanksgiving dinner this year, so we took a chance on Lafayette Village Grill. We hadn't been there for at least 4 years, and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food, and the lower-than-remembered noise level. The staff were friendly and attentive as well.

The only criticism I would mention is that it was odd, and a little awkward, that the buffet serving tables were set chest-high. I've never seen this before. It made it almost impossible NOT to breathe over the food, and I had some difficulty filling my plate at that height. Apart from this minor detail, a thoroughly enjoyable meal!

Food tasted like it came out of a can. If you just want food, and pretty big portions in a fun environment this is the place for you. No management here, so servers have no idea what they are doing, there are no systems and procedures and the attitude of unsupervised staff is what you might expect.
Too bad, good concept, good decor poor poor management

People were nice enough but the service wasn’t great. Place was not busy at all but it took way longer than expected to get food. Also, I had to keep clearing our table of used glasses & plates. Seems like there’s a lot of potential here but we left disappointed.

They were Not prepared for a busy night. Waitress was very nice even being overwhelmed and got the orders correct. We waited quite a while before ordering. Food was not great. Lettuce wraps were bland and lettuce was hardly big enough to fill. I've always had good experiences here but this night wasn't great.

The place is good looking and it's probably a good place to have a drink. The food was presented well. It was poor quality and either over or under cooked. The only person who finished was my 15 yr old son. However, he eats anything and everything.

I had lunch before doing some errands in town. The menu had a wide variety of choices and I intend to go back in the future to try some other dishes. I did the soup and sandwich combination with tuna melt and broccoli and cheese soup. There were a reasonable number of wines available by the glass but mostly widely available selections. The atmosphere is casual and sporty. It was a cool day so I did not eat on the patio but like that they offer outdoor seating.
