We really enjoyed our dinner - the oysters were fresh, and both the cod and the risotto were delicious!! Service was very attentive even though it got pretty busy for a weeknight, so we had a lovely experience overall!

Our party of four were happy to get a reservation at La Voile on a Saturday night. We were seated upstairs and were set up with water and wine right away. The service was attentive and professional. The menu was very appealing and had a wide range of familiar French options i.e. escartgot, soup a l'ongione, boeuf bourguinone (sp), etc. We ordered beet salad with goat cheese and liver terrine for appetizers. both were well prepared, served in a reasonable amount of time and appreciated by the diners. The main dishes were mostly excellent. The Dover Sole was large and nicely prepared, without the excessive amounts of butter sometimes used. The duck was good and the portions abundant. The Boeuf Bourguinone was satisfactory. Everything held up, but for the desserts. The "mille feuille" was something different; perhaps they'd run out. . . Or maybe it was a style of mille feuille that was different. In any event, that was the only real weak spot. Would I go back to La Voile? Yes, for certain. Many other appealing menu items to try. .

We have eaten here many times and always had a wonderful experience.
The lamb I ordered this evening was awful. It was extremely fatty and untrimmed. It was also not cooked as requested.
The dull knives made cutting the lamb difficult.
The waiter removed this from our bill.
I really hope our next dining experience with you will be as good as our past meals have been.

Enjoyed a memorable dinner and sterling service at La Voile Brookline. The decor may not be French, but the food and ambiance certainly are. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations about the menu. The lamb chops were a generous serving, the salads excellent, the desserts authentically French.

The food and service were very good. The only thing I’d raise was that the background music was unnecessarily loud. Perhaps it stood out as there were few other diners in the restaurant.

The service and ambience were very nice. The waiters were polite and helpful. It was mice traditional French service and very much appreciated. The food was very good and so were the drinks. The atmosphere was relaxing and allowed for easy conversation at the table. All guests enjoyed the evening very much.

This was our first dine out since the pandemic hit. We weren’t disappointed. The food was excellent. The staff got one item in our order wrong, but it was promptly corrected. Overall it’s an excellent place to go out for a nice dinner.

This was my first time at any La Voile location. I chose it based on a recommendation of my client; we were having a business dinner. The food and service were great. We had escargot, foie gras duo (cold and seared), lamb chops, sole meuniere, and duck confit. For our meals, the sommelier recommended a 2018 Mercurey Premier Cru, which paired well with all of our dishes. We ate outside at the request of my client, but I personally would have preferred to eat inside. The Brookline branch of La Voile is located at the intersection of Washington and Beacon, just across from the Green Line T Washington Square Stop, thus easy access by public transit. Loud street traffic noise and uneven pavement are not part of my preferred ambiance.

Escargot were to die for, salmon and the duck plates were great. Good wine, great server. Chocolate mousse was a bit sweet. Could stand it to be much darker chocolate but that is just personal taste.
Highly recommend!

We went to La Voile to celebrate a birthday. The service was so slow that we had to leave before dessert (so no birthday cake). The food was very good. But considering the price and the poor service, it is not worth it.

We dined outside on a Saturday evening. While the noise on Brookline Avenue isn’t the fault of the restaurant, the ambience of the outdoor seating can be improved. While we had a wonderful bottle of wine, the food was slightly above average. There are many choices to eat in Boston and Brookline. This one was good, but we won’t be regulars.

Sat outside on a charming evening. Unfortunately, the table was tilted and a little unstable, leading to one of us getting their iPhone broken as it slipped from the tabletop. Service was attentive and caring. The appetizers were delicious. The wine and cocktails were nice. All of us took the Dover Sole -- delicious! The forgettable dessert was the only weak spot in the meal. Overall, an enjoyable evening.
