We ate breakfast at this restaurant each day on our 9 day stay with reservations each day and the Staff at restaurant never linked our reservation or acknowledged it, which makes look bad our our account.
Had a great time, would definitely recommend it. Sometimes there is traffic at the buffet area since they serve you everything on your plate its not like grab and go, but it flows fast and in general, it was really good.
Everything and everyone was kind and friendly n helpful would come back
It was disappointing to order a seafood pasta dish at a high end Marriott hotel and have it arrive lukewarm and made with frozen mussels and calamari
Great brunch buffet despite the covid-19 restrictions.
While the buffet was tasty, I have seen better, especially for US $110/person. There were no prices posted, so shame on me. I understand it is at a Marriott Resort. Breakfast was great at about $30/person. Avoid the other meals unless price makes no difference.
For the buffet we paid 100 dollars each which was way too much for what you actually get. Lots of the food did not taste fresh.
This is a 'don't miss' restaurant. Whether you choose to dine inside or out on the patio with tropical ocean views, your dining experience won't disappoint. This is our 6th yr in a row coming to the Marriott Stellaris & we always dine at LaVista our 1st night, ensuring that our stay begins on the he right foot. Both the service & the food are 5 stars! My husband & I had the special offer of an appetizer, entree & dessert for $45/pp. The calamari app was an entree sized portion! The short rib pulled gently apart with only a fork. And the chocolate lava dessert rounded off the meal perfectly. One doesn't need to go off the property to enjoy a fantastic meal with attentive service. A special shout out to Alexis, our server, who enhanced our dining enjoyment.
The service was disappointing she rush us when there was no one there due to COVID. They had music playing live he was wonderful to listen to
We went for thanksgiving dinner. Table outside had beautiful sunset views in the beach. Service was great but food was mediocre.
This was our only disappointing meal on Aruba. We think the salad made us sick. Our entrees were boring for the money. Staff were nice but nothing exceptional.
Tried to pay with my credit card. Was told the machine wasn't working and the other machine was far away. I'm certain that the server wanted me to pay cash so he could pocket the money. I paid cash as I was in a hurry. I could tell the second he realized I wasn't staying there that he could get away with it.
The service is great... super friendly staff. The menu lacks some originality, but the food we got was good. Drinks were good too.
Wonderful evening celebrating our anniversary. The food, service, and ambience were excellent and made for a memorable evening.
We were there for the breakfast buffet. The food was really good, but odd to have to be served due to the times. The staff was so friendly and helpful.
the omelets were wonderful.
We will surely go back again.
The breakfast buffet was great.
Wide range of choices.......from omelets to juices, fresh fruit, all kinds of hot foods.excellent service...our waitress was very good to see is we wanted more coffee or anything else.
Buffet had a good variety of dishes prepared well for a buffet. Serving areas were clean and adequate serving utensils.
My all time favourite brunch place.
Outstanding service and food.
Thank you for singing happy birthday it was great the cake is very nice we have enjoy it
Typical buffet food not terrible but not special the service was good and the show nice
Breakfast buffet is nice; a lot of choices and authentic dishes too
Basically a cafeteria... No Ambiance, LED Flood lights on the deck in your face light at a traffic stop.
Pass on this one...
Family oriented hotel spot. The food was good and the outdoor seating is nice. Would recommend for a quick bite and if you’re staying at the hotel.
The majority of the restaurant is a buffet and it’s very noisy and full of families. The description of the restaurant did not mention a buffet or we wouldn’t have chosen this restaurant. We were not offered any drinks by our server. Just the water was fine but it was odd to feel pushed to order the buffet (we did not) and then not be asked what we’d like to drink. The waiter appeared annoyed that we didn’t want the buffet and was pretty curt.
Food was ok. But very expensive for a family of 4. Over $500 for buffet and I ate salad and soup!! Not going again! Would have rather ordered from menu / but they said there was only one server!
We always enjoy La Vista when visiting the Marriott in Aruba. Wide selection of food, salad items and deserts In the buffet. Also an excellent pasta station. Food and service are always very good.
Easy option, good food, expensive if you are not into buffets.
Had lunch here prior to flight home. Easily located from surf club Marriott. Had coconut shrimp which was delicious, tuna citrus salad and chicken sandwich were ok, kids pasta was good. Service was off from the start, brought bread not bread plates, took a long time for order of drinks to be taken, waitress was unfriendly and a bit put off by her job. Didn’t bring ketchup, left plates that were empty when came to the table and when finally took them was abrupt and knocking into other plates. Definitely not top notch service but food was mostly good. Coconut shrimp being the standout
The hostess was rude and NOT friendly at all, we arrived early after making our reservation on OpenTable, I said we may be early, she looked at me and said “we aren’t open” and sent us back outside.....when we came back in, she said there were no seats available inside and we had to go out to the patio. We were finally seated inside and there were plenty of tables available! Our waitress was Tazi, she was exceptional! Then when I get back to our hotel, I get a message from OpenTable that we missed our reservation, well I just walked back over there and talked to the manager, Juan, and told him we paid for our meals, gave Tazi a great tip and the the hostess doesn’t even mark us being there so I get an Email from Opentable that we didn’t show up. Disappointed how things were handled!
Good choice of food, but very poor service on the outside terras
BEWARE. had 830pm reservations on sat for lobster all u can eat buffet. at 850pm cut off from lobster. open til 1030? Rude mgr had no response other then grill closed. We came here 3yrs ago where did all the food go? Buffet selection was sad at best. We refused to pay for food we didnt get. We only came to eat lobster. Marriott should be ashamed n has lost our business.
Food was good!
Service was not the best. Sat down and we had to ask to order a drink. We were not asked for refills. Being a buffet, the server should have been more attentive as there is less to do at each table. Also for the price - $60 pp we should not have left disappointed
We went for a Thanksgiving buffet. There was plenty of selection and the food looked edible the problem was that all the food was room temperature cold. Onto e of ours selections were even Luke warm. I told our server and see reported back to us that she passed on my complaint to the chef but didn’t offer any solution to our cold food. Next year we will look elsewhere for a thanksgiving dinner while in Aruba.
Since my family and I were spending Thanksgiving in Aruba, we were hoping to find a restaurant with some traditional Thanksgiving Day food on their menu. La Vista did not disappoint! From the turkey to the cranberry sauce to the stuffing and the prime rib...the food was delicious! I overheard a few other guests commenting on how moist and flavorful the turkey was. The ambiance and service was spot on. While I didn’t visit the restaurant for any other meals, based on the quality and taste of everything on their Thanksgiving dinner menu I have no doubt that I would enjoy everything else La Vista has to offer! I thought the dinner for 4 was a little pricey but well worth it nevertheless as I know it was a special menu.
The Thanksgiving dinner was absolutely wonderful The turkey, dressing and mashed potatoes were top rank.
Brunch at the Marriott is our new go to location. While the Ritz is certainly nice, it is small and too many birds outside interrupting the meal. The Hyatt has just gone downhill over the past few years. The Marriott has stone crab, oysters and shrimp as well as all of the usual staples without being too artsy. Their outside grill stations are barbecue and they have a gelato stand. Right now the best brunch we’ve been to.
Steak salad and burger was good, with generous portions. Outdoor seating allowed us to watch the sunset.
Food was amazing & wonderful waitstaff. Love this place
Always our Sunday choice for Brunch Buffet. Excellent selection of foods whether breakfast or lunch. Pick what you want, attentive servers, easy in and out.
