From the outset La Trompette has been showered with accolades, a reflection of the love, care and energy that is invested in the restaurant by the dedicated team behind it. La Trompette was awarded a Michelin star in 2008.
I tried the Turbo and my daughter has the skate and it was way better.
Food good, nice wine list. Wines overpriced. Need to look at competitors who offer equally good and possibly somewhat better food for a more competitive menu price.
Staff efficient and friendly. Overall, a worthwhile eating experience.
Great meal and lovely service.
The gilt head bream starter was delicious (although I query the frozen wasabi - best leave this off).
Roast suckling pig also very tasty,
I very much enjoyed the Bramley apple soufflé, hot and creamy a real tour de force
Thanks to the team - a great evening
Delicious food and friendly staff. Lovely experience.
I really enjoyed everything i ate and drank. So for me a perfect meal.
Comes in the excellent category. Lunch.
Had a usual business meeting at this fine establishment. It was quiet, service was very professional, the food was great, and the wine was exceptional. Can’t wait to go again.
only one small mistake with service - the dishes were reversed. Otherwise we loved it.
Will certainly go back, good food, good value, good service.
This is a great restaurant for a special occasion. The food was imaginative and the staff were attentive.
Wonderful service, lovely food.
We had a late lunch so very quiet, very good service, attentive without intrusion. Linguini with truffles to start was wonderful as was the turbot main course. My only suggestion is to have a fuller list of wine by the glass as the choice was not very exciting. We ended up with a half bottle to improve the quality.
We love this restaurant but living out of London can only visit occasionally, but enjoy it every time.
Lovely lunch . Great service and food and ambience.
Everything tasted wonderful as usual! Never lets you down. Thoroughly recommend to all.
Food and service are fantastic. This is definitely my favourite restaurant in Chiswick!
This is our 4th visit in about 18 months and my wife and I rate La Trompette as the best restaurant in the area, and the chez Bruce group. (Both Chez Bruce and the Kew Glasshouse are excellent but we think that LT is the best of the lot.)
Our guests on Saturday were two influential New Yorkers (their second visit to LT). They think the same as us and I can assure you that they will broadcast LT to their colleagues in Manhattan and in the Hamptons, Long Island. And don't worry .... they are not Trump supporters.
Perfection for either a special celebration or just to treat yourselves
Fabulous tasting menu made the meal into a very special occasion. Service was impeccable
This, my second visit to La Trompette, quite lived up to the first. The tasting menu and matching wines were all excellent, and for a pre-Christmas treat, it couldn't have been better. The staff are informed and friendly without overdoing it, and my companion, who had not been before and who can be hard to please, was impressed. I'm looking forward to an excuse to go again soon.
We took a friend who's not well for a Christmas treat. And what a treat. The meal was absolutely delicious. The service was first class and very considerate of our friend's needs.
What a wonderful restaurant - just found it from a google search of restaurants in the area as we were staying in Hammersmith for the night. Had the tasting menu - it was memorable.
Tasting menu is extremely good! The decorations are not too fancy but all it matters is the food.
I went to La Trompette with a friend for our Christmas get-together and had a really nice meal. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food a nice experience except for the apple dessert who wasn't to my taste. However to be fair to the restaurant as I didn't enjoy the dessert they took the extra payment for the cheese board off the bill, which I thought was really nice of them. The cheese board was amazing though and the waiter very knowledgeable about all the cheeses - so don't miss that one. La Trompette definitely lived up to other 1 Michelin star restaurants I have been to and can only recommend this place.
My absolute favourite restaurant! Delicious food as always
A most enjoyable evening, with excellent food and really lovely service. Not overly attentive - just right! - Thank you.
I would definitely come back again for our special occasions. It’s a worth restaurant to visit and experience the food.
We having been to La Trompette numerous times over the past 10 years and the food has been up to a very high standard on every visit without exception.
excellent food and service, I has the linguine with white truffle and the roast duck, both delicious
Annual Christmas family get together
The food was absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable. They even noted my husband's birthday with a treat.
The sommelier was fantastic he listened then provided and gave us advice and info for future
the food superb each course in the tasting menu was a delight
Had a great time, all staff were very helpful and attentive. Learnt a lot about cheese when I ordered the cheese board at the end!
Excellent tasting menu, each course was delicious!
although I have been twice to this restaurant and it was good.
This time Unfortunately was not a nice experience. I was not aware of the specific time we had to eat, 2 hours and 15 minutes as I don’t have time to read all the specifications of the booking confirmation.
We were not advise either at any time, the staff should have reminded us that there is a specific time for the tables. Many other restaurants have done so. After we order a second bottle we were told they needed the table, if So, they should have let us know when we order the bottle, if we knew we had just a few minutes to drink it then we wouldn’t have ordered it!
These are the situations that ruin the experience in the restaurant. We left the restaurant with a rather annoying feeling instead of enjoying the food and having a wonderful time. We felt pushed of the restaurant and the staff was rude too.
I have spoken to managers of other restaurants and they said that they should always remember the clients about the slot of time in a amicable way!
Food very good. Wine pricey but good. Service good. Enjoyable lunch with friends from Paris.
Not that I know so many fine diners in town, but La Trompette has been my firm favourite for many years. It's not a flashy fancy place, but from decor to food to service, every detail is set to ensure that you have a really nice evening (or a leisurely luncheon).
I took one star off from the food rating because I wasn't too impressed with my scallop starter; scallop itself was perfectly cooked and so was every other elements on the dish, but I didn't think pumpkin puree, sesame oil and toasted pumpkin seeds worked particularly well with delicate scallop. But this is a kind of restaurant that keeps experimenting and offers something new every time, and one miss won't anyway tarnish my faith in the place.
The only one other note is that I wish they had more options for non-drinkers. A larger selection of mock-cocktails would be really nice for more thorough fine dining experience for a customer like me, who don't drink.
Another fab meal - thanks. Food and service excellent as usual
A great venue with a range of choice suitable for all types of diner. The set menu is good value considering the quality of cuisine. I just wish there was a wider choice of lower priced wines £35-50 range especially for the lunchtime choice.
Service is good and always a pleasurable experience.
The food was as always impeccable. Although the service was to a very high standard it lacked a little from the usual level of detail and attentiveness that we normally get. Overall though, it was a lovely experience a highly recommend going.
After 2,5h, we left the restaurant without time to have coffee or deserts. Very slow service, it took almost an hour to order the food, they did not even give us drinks in the meantime. And 45 min between the starters and the mains. The food was good though, when we finally got it.
