   We went there for dinner and although it was full and although it was full (Saturday night) the service was efficient and the food very good. We will certainly go there again. The only niggle is that the tables were really close together so it felt a little crowded..

   You get the feeling that La Tasca really comes into its own at night, as on a Friday lunchtime it was just the upper section at the front which was busy. Further inside there was a large area down a small set of stairs which was almost empty. It shouldn't have been because La Tasca if perfect for a quick pitstop or a more leisurely lunch. The staff are friendly and knowledgable when it comes to the menu — we were advised to go for the main size paella rather than the tapas version as the latter was really rice with bits rather than a true tapas. It was a good tip, as the main was brilliant, flavoursome with just the right crust. The tapas selection is comprehensive on the proteins, but vegetable choices are limited if you don't want salad. Churros with dipping chocolate and strawberries were great to finish. Personally I'd say forget the shop-bought marshmallows and add more strawberries, but my daughter soon polished them off.

   The poor service spoiled the excellent food. We had to ask for service at every point during the evening. The waiting staff were not attentive at all. Not impressed.

   we would recommend la tasca , i even gave the waiter a bung .for looking after us, and on top of that Panther taxi service spot on overall very good ,regards mark.cathy
