   Too many tables for 1 server. At one point he told the hostess he had 18 tables by himself. He was very friendly but obviously needed more help. There were bussers around but were not very efficient. Why carry all new water glasses out when you could walk around with a pitcher to refill glasses already on the tables? Food was delicious but the wait was a little bit much. Will definitely go again as I love the food and atmosphere.

   Our food and service was second to none. Highly recommend this restaurant due to the fresh and creative cuisine and outstanding service. Had the fish special, which was worthy of the name special, and the burger - they make an amazing hamburger.

   Disappointed in the food quality and presentation. 2 of the 3 guests plates were like warm when served. Received the largest part of the very large asparagus stalks as a vegetable. Salmon cooked in parchment was mostly burnt on one side

   The ambience was nice, service good and appetizers and drinks were good. The main dishes I would give about a 3.5. The vegetables and potatoes we very good, but main course seemed to not be fresh. The pastry was soggy and not flaky and meat was over cooked, even though I ordered it medium. Flavor was good. Will go back and try a different main course as I did enjoy the experience in general.

   All of our servers were polite, polished and excellent, but the server who took our order was especially memorable in that he was quite entertaining. We enjoyed his humorous attitude.

   The server we had was very good last night compared to the last time we were there. But we feels like the food quality are not as good as it used to be. Also when we made the reservation online, it asked if this is for a special occasion, we put down anniversary, but neither the hostess or waiter recognised, so not sure what is the purpose for mentioning it. Overall, we did enjoyed ourselves but will definitely search for other options for next occasion.

    I went for a Saturday lunch at 2pm and the only thing we found was a brunch menu, with only options to eat, besides, omelette, were sandwiches and burgers, which didn’t made the difference compare to more normal restaurants. Hopefully next time I would find more quality.

    Taking our MIL out for Mother’s Day because we recently relocated to Arizona(Love it) Our server was great. If she could have only been in the kitchen preparing our food, this rating would be better. Everything took forever to come to our table. We ordered a waffle, not tough to prepare, a shrimp Louie salad, again not tough to prepare, a French Dip, not tough to prepare and it took forever to get served. The icing on the cake you ask?…we ordered a crème brûlée and Lemon Pot De Creme and it took so long that I had to walk into the restaurant and find our server to ask about the status of what should have been pre prepared desserts. She told the table next to us that she wasn’t going to offer them a dessert menu because we’ve been waiting over 30 minutes for our desserts and she doesn’t know what’s going on in the kitchen. She obviously comped our desserts that showed up 10 minutes after we checked. We will never come back and never recommend this place to anyone.

    First time there, rather disappointing as it was definitely not french cooking. More Californian with a hint of french food. Sitting outside was pleasant but the table and chairs were rather uncomfortable and not very clean.

    The mushroom risotto was wonderful, short rib was good too. The dauphinoise potatoes, while tasty, was extremely salty. The desserts were just okay. Ambiance was warm and inviting.

    We always enjoy La Provence and all went well after......we got a new waiter. We were celebrating my B/D and we always like to order a Cocktail first, then wine and our meal. I think her name was Cindy. All started off well, until we got our Cocktails. When she brought them to the table, she ask if we were ready to order. I said, "not yet, we would like to sit awhile and enjoy or cocktails. So she comes back like 2 minutes later and again ask. I said sorry not quite yet, then she says, well I have to leave soon and would like to get your order in. So I said again, sorry no, is that OK. She said well I guess I will turn you over to another wait person. So when we were done with our Cocktail she brings over Jason. And WOW, what a difference........Jason is Terrific and should be Employee of the month or at least get a raise!!! He was so attentive, but not over attentive, he was extremely good at his job! We interacted a lot during the rest of our meal and had a lot of laughs, so enjoyable! This is not to get anyone in trouble, but just thought you should know! I don't know, but assume Cindy wanted to get the order in so any Tip would go to her, even after she left her shift????

    Food was excellent, service was top notch and my out of town guests loved everything! I thought the shot of Glenlevit was a little expensive but the amount was certainly more than adequate! Will certainly be back!

    We ate there for a Mothers Day brunch, understanding that this is not a good day to go out to eat. However, the service we received was not the result of them being slammed with customers since we had a 2:45 reservation. The waitress took at least ten minutes to acknowledge us and when she finally did, she practically forced us to order our meal and drinks simultaneously. She the told us to go to the buffet appetizer bar as she left with the order. We waited for a short period of time in order to get our cocktails, but they didn't seem to be coming so we got our starters. We didn't (any of us) have time to finish the appetizers before they brought the entrees. Notice that we haven't received our drinks yet and finally had to get a bus person locate our waitress to remind her that we hadn't received our beverage order. The beverages finally arrived 10 minutes after the entrees. We had to have someone track her down any time we needed her help. She never smiled, never apologized for the service, and never came to the table on her own volition. I am sorry to write this review, which I never do, because almost all of our experiences over the last 5-6 year have been pleasurable and we have hosted many couples first experience there. This will not deter us from going back there, except on a holiday. We are sure that they hire temporary help that haven't been trained like their regular staff. W e will continue to recommend La Provence with the proviso "NOT ON A HOLIDAY"

    Was very disappointed with the Mother’s Day brunch. Buffet foods had not been refilled at our 1pm seating. Had to ask for cream and sugar and a spoon for coffee. Coffee never refilled. Ordered the steak entree and was given dull knives (not steak knives). For $65 dollars each person it was not worth it and they self tipped 22%. Will not go back.

    Would definitely NOT recommend Mothers Day Brunch. Selections were slim. Dishes were not replaced frequently. Dessert bar was laughable. Definitely way overpriced for service. 20% gratuity automatically added for a group of 3.

    My only mistake with this reservation is that I set it up for outside. It was too hot and the staff could not accomodate a table change being so busy. BUT, the waiter, Eric was great, as was Mary who helped us with everything else at our table with 3 young children and 4 adults.

    They sat us in the sun and wouldn’t move us when others were allowed to move and many tables around us remained empty the entire time we were there. We had to ask for an umbrella twice and it still didn’t cover us completely. The ratatouille omelet was really good but the buffet items weren’t anything special. The cookies seemed store bought. My daughter ordered eggs and bacon and didn’t get to choose how her eggs were cooked and they were really lazy scramble if you can call them scramble. Not worth the money and won’t do it again.

    We have never eaten from the regular menu at LA Provence. We have always been here for some holiday or special event. And the menu reflects the occasion. Food exceptional, service wonderful and the bar drinks fantastic. No disappointment here.

    I went for Mother's day brunch, the food was amazing, but the cost was too expensive $65 per person and no beverages were included. They automatically add a 20% tip to your bill. So, I won't do that again! It was just my mother and I, not a large party.

    Me and my husband love coming here for lunch and dinner. Food is different and amazing. The noise level isn’t too loud and the service is good. The waiters are always friendly and accommodating. Very well put together establishment.

    I took my wife for a Mothers Day dinner. Very good choice. Food and service was excellent. The restaurant was very busy and noisy. The ceiling and walls do not proved any damping of the sound waves so you are really bombarded with loud customers. Otherwise, I highly recommend this place for a very good dinner and the staff is courteous and helpful.

    Wonderful, rustic atmosphere with delicious food. A few missing links in the service we received (wrong food delivered twice, no appetizer plates, no pouring of the wine). Service did not match the ambiance for fine dining. I would still recommend it for a nice date night.

    Horrible experience. The chicken was dry and overcooked. The menu has a side description but I got totally different. Seats outside were uncomfortable, and dirty table, I asked to be inside, but the hostess said no. Food wait was long about 45 min. The server was unprepared never mentioned her name and nobody have name tags there. This restaurant goes for quantity not for quality.

    Perfect restaurant to celebrate pre Mother’s Day. Restaurant is lovely, bright and comfortable. We sat at the back of the restaurant near the patio. Window table was lovely and quieter than the rest of the restaurant. Service and food were amazing! Before the meal was over, we were planning our next visit.

    I’ve been going to La Provence for many years now and encountered probably the worst experience last Saturday before Mother’s Day. Very poor, attentiveness by the reservation and reception desk. Our waitress took an extremely long time to greet us, take drink orders, and finally our meal. It was one hour from the time we ordered, to the time we had our food delivered to our table. One member in our party had a French dip with a side salad, only to discover halfway through his salad there had been a paper napkin placed under his salad. We will try again only because of our past experiences have been very good, but I must say, I cannot recommend La Provence with any confidence.

    Lovely outdoor venue and dog friendly. We've enjoyed meals here in the past, but this visit, service was painfully slow even though the restaurant wasn't busy, and the food was mediocre at best. Drinks and accoutrements were forgotten. Overall a big miss for an early Mother's day celebration.

    the good: bread, bus service, most of the food, drink prep. the ok: server could have been a little more personable and attentive. the drink order took a long time. All in all we enjoyed our meal and we will come back.
