La Posta sirve platillos frescos y de temporada con un auténtico estilo italiano. El restaurante lo invita a visitarlo para la cena y a disfrutar de su menú que incluye platillos de toda Italia como pastas frescas caseras, panes hechos en horno de ladrillo, pizzas y embutidos. La Posta se esfuerza por ofrecer alimentos cultivados y cosechados de manera sostenible. El menú cambia frecuentemente para ofrecer una variedad de platillos especiales preparados con ingredientes locales y orgánicos, en función de la abundancia de la comunidad agrícola de Santa Cruz.   • La Toscana Cru Night!

    Join us at la Posta for our next Cru Night, Wednesday, June 18, when we celebrate and share the wines of Tuscany. Tuscany almost speaks for itself. This verdant rolling landscape has been in the vinous forefront at least since the Medioevo. In the 13 th c, the villages of Gaiole, Castellina, and Radda formed the Lega del Chianti; wine laws were on the books by the mid 1400’s, and by the late 19 th c, Sangiovese had become the base of the modern blend. The wines are a small tour of the region’s wines, highlighting some of the ways in which Sangiovese can present. It is our intention with Cru Night to make extraordinary wines available to everyone, without the extra formality and expense of a fixed price dinner. We will have several specials on for the night which are specifically Tuscan. Be sure to reserve early, as these evenings often book up early.

                                              Another excellent dinner, the calamari salad with fennel was delicious, very fresh and tender calamari, the prosciutto/fig pizza was unusual and fantastic, delicious wines by the glass

                                              Another exceptional dining experience at La Posta! We never miss dining here when in Santa Cruz. The burrata starter was delicious with hazelnuts and poached cherries, the house made walnut rosemary bread was worth the trip by itself, and the two pasta dishes were so exceptional that we forgot to take pictures of them because we practically started eating them before the waiter set them down on our table! Consistently one of the best dining experiences we ever have in any city and by far the best restaurant in Santa Cruz. Excellent service and an amazing Italian wine list to boot. Cannot wait for our next meal here!

                                              The food was excellent as was the service. Loved the delightful music of Paul and Emily Randall. However, dining on the patio was not comfortable nor aesthetically pleasing. The heaters do not work well while the wind whips through the surrounding lathing on top of a fence. The patio is simply aging and ugly concrete . The patio is in need of an upgrade. Would I return? Yes, for the food, service and music.

                                              Ah, La Posta. I love everything about you. There were 4 of us. We each had different pastas, all fabulous. One of my friends and I shared the calamari salad... Delicious! And dessert is always dreamy. Great service. Delicious bread. My daughter, who lives in Oakland, still says La Posta is her fave SC restaurant. I have to agree.

                                              We had an early dinner at La Posta on Friday 5/16. Service was very attentive and the food was excellent. La Posta prides themselves on serving farm fresh, flavorful food and they really hit the mark. Also provided expert guidance on the wine selection which otherwise can be a little daunting as the choices are outside of the prototypical California cuisine offerings. Overall, a really nice experience. We will definitely be back.
