La Masseria Restaurant is inspired from ancient fortified farmhouses that in the Puglia Region of Italy are called “Masseria”. Executive Chef/Co-Owner, Pino Coladonato, grew up on a Farm in Puglia. He was forced to eat whatever was available but soon was tired of bean puree and decided to take matters into his own hands, creating new ways to use the same few ingredients. Now, with limitless ingredients to choose from, fava beans, chickpeas and lentils are still a core element in many of his entrees. Interior Designer Libby Langdon has created a warm, inviting dining atmosphere. Rustic and relaxed, with plenty of old world charm. Oversized iron sconces custom made from antique wrought iron gates punctuate the walls, and artful displays of antique farm tools mixed with various authentic Italian photographs all add to the farmhouse appeal. The wine list encompasses all regions of Italy with few of the best American and the rest of the world.

Service was wonderful, as were the drinks. The burrata appetizer special was delicious, although the prosciutto was cut a little too thick. The gnocchi and chicken with fontina and spinach were perfect. I always recommend the ricotta cheesecake!

The restaurant didn’t honor my reservations even after I called to make sure we could sit outside. It appears that their have regulars that the hostess and manager cater to. Since it was only my third time going I guess I wasn’t part of the in crowd. Our waiter was wonderful and all that was wrong with this restaurant was no reflection on him. Food was too expensive for the limited menu and portion size. I have had several of my friends and coworkers have the same sentiments about this restaurant.

The shrimp cocktail were huge and perfect, nice oysters and delicious snail salad. Steak tartare was very wet (I did not like it). The braised rabbit was delicious as usual. I ordered a pasta special with crabmeat… I needed a microscope to find any crab in it. It was tasty but not worth the special price.

The evening started with the news all lobster, chicken, and ravioli dishes were unavailable. The evening ended with the wrong ticket charged to my debit card (50% too much), a second charge being added to my card (the correct charge), and "the hold will cycle off in a couple of days"... One of my go-to places that we will go back since the food is outstanding but Monday may not be the optimal day.

Have loved this restaurant and eaten here several times. This time the food was definitely not up to par. Pasta was dry, meat overcooked, portions small for the money. Disappointing!
It was obvious they were suffering from current short staffing issues, but our server was great even while running around covering too many tables.
Will return as hopefully this is a temporary blip!

Or two sets dishes were very bland. The gnocchi was recommended for its rich cheesy flavor but tasted like a flour and water sauce.
My husbands lobster pasta was very lack luster and the little lobster that was in it was chewy.
We will not be back as this is not the first bad experience.

Outstanding menu and great flavors. Service was not as good as expected. Actually, young man whom delivered our food was more impressive than server. He was hopping throughout the restaurant. Appetizers very pricy, and entrees not so bad. I will return.

Traveling through RI and we saw good reviews, so decided to give La Masseria a try. Easy to get a last-minute reservation. They have valet parking.

Seated and ordered some wine. Also ordered one of the appetizer specials (Burrata). Very good and likely made on-site, fresh. Bread delivered (Italian bread and focaccia). Both breads were fresh and tasty.

I ordered rigatoni with sausage, meatballs and braised shortribs; my wife ordered octopus and cuttlefish. Rigatoni dish was extremely hot, almost like it was in the microwave. I don't think it was though. Meatballs were small and somewhat dense. I didn't hate the dish, but didn't love it. I had higher expectations. Wife reports the octopus was good, but the dish was bland. No seasoning at all, it seemed. Just lacked flavor. She's never had cuttlefish before and didn't care for it, but that wasn't seasoned either.

Tiramisu for dessert was really great.

Great date night! Food is always exceptional along with the service. I’d highly recommend this restaurant as it never disappoints!! As for the review for the guy with the rude review who said he'd rather go to Chelo....that's where he belongs.

Excellent food and service. Style was upscale as was the food and wine choices. Nice people and area. Noise was a bit much for a small place and the place was small in size. Great for a date night or small gathering. Would recommend but not for large gatherings.

We were upstairs and there were only a couple of guests so it was very quiet. I would imagine downstairs might’ve been a little noisier. Service was a little slow but we all know that restaurants don’t have the staff that they need right now. Food was delicious, our server was very personable.

I feel like restaurants are rebounding post covid and LaMasseria is one of them. The squid combo appetizer was dry and small for $17.50. The meatballs were ok, decent size, but mine are better, and $20 for two? I had the flattened veal dish and it needed some kind of sauce to go with it. I got the french fries for the table as a side and thought they were Ore-ida frozen. My son had the veal chop and it looked raw to me and he inhaled it anyways. There was califlower and broccoli with his veal chop and they looked like they were frozen. My wife had the lobster pasta and she liked it. The waitress was ok but she was only there for two months. Why do they not have ice bucket for every table with bottles of wine? Does it make sense to be sharing ice buckets for a couple of tables? Not to me. Desert and cappuccino was good. This dinner was $300 without tip. Sorry, but I'd go to Chelos on airport road next time.

Always consistent . Food was excellent. The only criticism from this experience was our water glasses were never refilled after they initially were filled after being seated…was offered a drink upon being seated but never asked again if We wanted a refill or something else to drink.

Didn’t feel welcomed by the Maître d'hôtel, he seemed distracted even though we were early diners.
Faith, our server and the rest of the wait staff and the food all were excellent and well tipped.

It was an absolutely beautiful night and had reservations for inside. When we got there I asked if they could accommodate us outside. And sure enough they did! Beautiful night and food excellent and sitting outside in EG.

A wonderful dining experience. Great service from a very knowledgeable waiter. He knew the menu and made smart, accurate recommendations. The bottle Barolo (2013) was a perfectly accompanied our dinner. The restaurant is a bit noisy; but who cares when the food is this good? FIVE STARS!!!!

I wrote a letter to the owner no response. We were in a corner no A/C so it was like an oven in there. I asked my waiter about my dish and it came out not like he described and my chicken was a salt stick, I sent it back. No new food was offered or did any one come to ask me about it. My husband wanted bread sticks they said there were none, but the table next to us got them..hummmmmmmmmmm Two of the my party ordered risotto it was the portion size for a child and the was crunchy and under cooked. So overall bad night , great company and we went home and ate.
