   Just on the food quality, temperature, taste alone it is the best Tex-Mex we have ever eaten. We have traveled all around the world and the food was easily the best Mexican restaurant we have experienced. We were seated outdoors without a fly fan (no above fans were blowing either) and within minutes we had multiple mosquito bites so we asked to be changed to indoors which the hostess gladly did for us, unfortunately we were seated across from the bartender who makes the drinks for patrons at tables ( not a bar) and the commotion from all the waitstaff talking and getting their patrons drinks was loud and the floor rumbled beneath our feet from the amount of foot traffic right beside us, so again we asked to be moved to a very small table for 2 away from the main thoroughfares. After this change everything was great! I believe they need a mosquito service. The outside has a quaint ambiance which we would have liked except the flies and mosquitoes. Food and service was great!

   We loved all the brunch recommendations our server JR had for us! We fully enjoyed it. The patio seating was a delight too in such a gorgeous day! Would definitely come back!

   Another great outdoor experience with the best Mexican food in San Antonio. Been going there for 40 years and it never disappoints.

   Great ambiance, food and service. Went during brunch hour.. I didn’t know they had brunch… they have a brunch menu with some breakfast items. I tried the jalapeño cheese tamales.. delicious.. my husband had chicken and shrimp fajitas..

   My guests were here from out-of-state and were told no softvdrinks due to issue with carbonation. Now this is prine dinner-time at one of the oldest, premiere Mexican restaurants in the area! So my guest orders lemonade and waiter offered a "refill" never advised we'd be charged for another! The manager refused to compensate. Very rude!

   Great service and food. We had Appetizer and Main courses that were excellent. We especially liked the Chips with Guacamole, Queso, and Salsa.

   We had a great Sunday brunch at La Fonda’s! When we are visiting in San Antonio we always make it a priority to stop there for brunch on our way out of town. Highly Recommend!!!

    This continues to be our favorite restaurant in San Antonio, and our favorite brunch spot as well. We've tried every top rated brunch in SA and La Fonda still takes the prize. The rotating specials, beautiful decor and courtyard, and exceptional service and food are why this has been around for almost 100 years.
