Food and drinks were very good. Service pushed us along, uncomfortably.
The margaritas were delicious and not even gonna try to spell the dish with the meatballs, but it was 👌🏻. Had been on our list for awhile and didn’t disappoint!
it was a beautiful night in Austin and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the wonderful food and atmosphere, the service was great!
As usual, best place in downtown Austin for Mexican food.
Nice place. Waitress seemed irritated that we asked for a spicier hot sauce but other than that the drinks were good and the food was decent.
Our first time there. Really good food. Nice and fresh. We will be back!!
Salsas not that great- quality & variety. Food excellent! Prices a little bit too hight- but close to fair because food is great. Lack of very hot sauces & jalapeńos is dissapointed . But still, I may come back.
Great restaurant for brunch or dinner!
Make sure to have your wait person explain the menu, as it's designed for sharing family style with lots of small plates. After that, enjoy! We loved everything we ordered, and there was a reasonable choice for the vegetarian in our party. Tip: the tortillas are awesome!
Incredible food, and service. The waiter comp’d us a fabulous dessert. We celebrated our anniversary here and drove down from DFW to specifically enjoy this restaurant (our second visit) Easy five stars from us!
Food was okay. Nothing memorable.
Location was good. Service was good.
This was my second time to La Condesa. The first was a long time ago. The ambience was nice and the waitress took very good care of us. The food was of average quality, better the first time. The Tamal had too much matza and not enough stuffing. The mushroom dish was OK. The best dish were the salsas that you got with the chips. They were each very good.
Food was outstanding!!!!!!🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 service was great!!!!!
Good food, but we shied away from getting entree’s because of the price. Stuck with the appetizers and we were fine.
Some of the best latin food we've had! So much flavor and interesting ingredients. We thought it was slightly overpriced and didn't appreciate that happy hour was in the bar area only. But the service was friendly and truely the food was amazing so all was well worth it for a special occasion dinner.
The kitchen continues to make inventive Mexican cuisine. We enjoyed their ceviche specials, the new tamal, as well as the new cocktails.
Not the traditional Mexican restaurant. It’s was Mexican with a twist of Austin. Very tasty and satisfied. A very large selection of tequila which gave the evening a nice kick. Job well done by the chef for presentation as well as the service. Everyone worked together to make it even more enjoyable.
This ain’t texmex but real - and real pricey - Mexican food. Never bought tortillas individually before. A buck a piece, but you get to choose what kind of gourmet tortilla you want to put your food on. Food was excellent in the end.
The restaurant is good, but very overpriced. Seems to be geared towards convention guests, who may not ever come back. The food was good, just small portions and very expensive. Service was average. I would opt for another Mexican restaurant downtown.
I love this place. My thrid time. I can't go without a house, rocks margarita and the Guacamole Sampler. The roasted cauliflower was amazing this time, and the blue corn tortillas are so delish. highly recommended for food, drinks, atmosphere and location!
The food was so great! My new favorite to go to. The atmosphere was great so was the music. Will be back for sure!!!!
Emily and I had an amazing dinner last night! We started out at the bar for happy hour (half off all alcohol 😍😍😍) we had a couple of drinks, my favorite was a frozen mezcal + Texas dragon fruit concoction, sooo good!
Then we transitioned over to the dining room where we met our friends for dinner. Everything was wonderful and delicious especially all of the creative ceviches! We loved it all and on top of that the service was stellar! We met the GM, who was very friendly and extremely hospitable! We absolutely loved our experience and will definitely be back! Thank you for a special night!
Incredibly good flavors on every taste! And the service was even better ! Excellent dining experience and super nice, very attentive wait staff.
Great margaritas and Great tapas to share.. a lil on the pricey side.
They changed their dinner menu recently and our server made no attempt to explain it to us. The layout does not provide any clues to how much food should be ordered and we had to ask multiple people for advice and help in ordering because our server gave such little info. And also they are charging for tortillas now, which is so silly.
The food is incredible and Service is outstanding.
Excellent food and service! Grilled fish was superb and Giles, our waiter was the beat.
New to Austin and exploring our new city—which includes finding new places to eat. La Condesa did NOT disappoint! Super cool interior, excellent playlist, and heavenly food. Really appreciated that the menu was more or less comprised of small plates, which meant we didn't have to compromise/narrow down all the things we wanted to try. Ceviche, bacon fat tortillas, queso, tamal, churros were all incredible!! Oh yea—don't play yourself—definitely enjoy a craft cocktail or two... not a single one is a poor choice!
La Condesa is always amazing. Great food, great cocktails and great company
The guac and salsa sampler, Che Che ceviche and carne asada were delicious. Fun atmosphere, great service and a really good margarita- what more can you ask for!
Great staff, amazing food and lovely atmosphere, Our experience overall was remarkable. I would definitely come again.
This is the second time I have been here and it was just as good as the first. If you expect a huge menu, don't. We had the crab meat avocado appetizer and shared the carne asada which was amazing and tender. Jamie was out waiter and he was awesome!
Our waiter, Jaime was very professional and helpful with ordering. Loved the sophisticated twist on south Texas Mexican food and the Margaritas were perfect! Great pre-show meal!
La Condesa is an amazing restaurant in the Second Street District with an amazing staff! They are very attentive and knowledgeable about what they offer!
Food was just ok. Air conditioning wasn’t working properly. Not worth it for the money.
Great food, but seating via phone call/text is unreliable.
Great ambiance and a variety of interior Mexican dishes not found on a typical Tex-Mex menu. The shared plates allow the opportunity to sample multiple items. Great for a special occasion!
Food was full of fresh and intense flavors. Our servers were knowledgeable and friendly. Josh, the manager, shared his infectious enthusiasm for mescal with us and treated us to a taste of something unique. Fun and fulfilling experience.
Like the location, like the vibe, great and educated wait staff. Food is flavorful. With that being said I like my Mexican food simple, sometimes doing infusions just don't mix. Music was great but it was really loud with parties, people. Not sure if the rain had pushed all the diners inside but it would still be a good place for a date or groups.
We were very disappointed with our experience at La Condesa. Pricing has become ridiculous. After paying 18 for salsa and guacamole I asked for a refill of salsa when my meal came... and was charged. EVERY Mexican restaurant has free chips and salsa... I paid $20 for it. My daughter wanted Carne Asada and was told it would take 40 minutes! Portions are small, prices are big. Service was slow... and it wasn’t busy. Cocktails are overpriced and small... and not good. So disappointing.
