To say that the food is overpriced is an understatement. Service from one server was quite snarky. They charged $12.00 for tortillas without letting us know. To top it off they charged a cake cutting fee for a small birthday cake after we spent $800.00. Needless to say I will not be returning.

Food was okay. I enjoyed the calabeza the most. The rest was overly fatty. Not my cup of tea. My husband's experience of it was better than mine, because he can tolerate fatty food and in face can enjoy it. It's just not my jam.

Fabulous food and drinks. Got to enjoy their Happy Hour with amazing $3 tacos and 50% off craft drinks. Then their regular menu was also first class. To die for ceviche and a fish crudo, then a short rib quesadilla that melts in your mouth. The only thing we didn't like was a squash dish that was cold and crunchy. Service was also first rate, attentive and knowledgable. Absolutely recommend La Condesa!

Amazing Cochinita Pibil and mushroom (Hongos) mains, great drinks expertly made, and definitely recommend the Artic Char and Guac for apps! A very delicious and fun spot!

The music was so loud and so obnoxious I could not even hear the woman sitting next to me from my company that I was trying to have a conversation with. When I asked the waiter, if he could, please see if the music could be turned down he simply said they don’t like to do that.

We had a very pleasant and delicious brunch at La Condesa yesterday. Outdoor patio was very comfortable and the people watching was very entertaining! We loved the food we had in Mexico City last summer, so La Condesa felt like we were magically transported back there. The flavors and presentation are modern, upscale Mexican, so don't expect the typical X with refries and rice on the side. We LOVED the pumpkin seed hummus, the short rib taco and the huevos rancheros. We liked the beef cheek appetizer but found them a little fatty (I know, they are beef cheeks!) and salty. Drinks were fun (Mimosa with different juices) and there was a nice wine selection by the glass. I have to say that one of the best parts of dining there was the service. Our server was awesome - prompt, informative and went out of their way to find out about ingredients or preparation when we wanted it (how DO they make that hummus?!). The only suggestion I could make for improvement would be for a little more shade on the front patio - we started in the shade of the trees lining the street but ended up in sunshine and got a little bit warm. Otherwise, everything was fabulous!

What a great evening! We had three of the appetizers and four of the hand held items. Fish was fresh and packed with flavor. I don’t think I have had a better meal in a long time. The staff was also just amazing!

The menu was interesting and unique. The ambience was lovely. My huarache dish was flavorful and delicious. I found the portions quite small for the prices, though, and even left hungry. Also, my waitress was not very cheerful or engaging.

I had booked my reservation for my six monthversary with my boyfriend a week back for an outdoor seating knowing the weather is going to be great. Fast forward to the actual day, Austin weather took a turn for the worse - upon arrival, the hostess immediately asked if we wanted an indoor seating instead and that was music to our ears. The food was delicious - I am vegan flexible and my boyfriend is vegetarian so we decided to go with 2 starters: guacamole (which was brought in a very generous portion) and Sikil Pak which was the pumpkin seed hummus brought with tostadas and 1 entreé of chilaquiles which was so perfectly done. Definitely worth value for money and James Beard hype and attraction.

Unclear what this restaurant wants to be. Grossly overpriced. Menu odd and limited. Service poor - ordered a cold appetizer (ceviche) but was served a hot main 1st and made to feel uncomfortable when I said I wanted the ceviche 1st (apparently it takes longer to make than a hot dish 🤯). We had to ask for a glass for the dented can of soda we were served. When you feel you are being gauged price wise hard to enjoy the very average food you are served. I rarely write reviews but had to for this place as a warning to others

We had a great time here! Our waitress was awesome and knowledgeable. Our favorite dish was the corn appetizer with the queso being a close second. The shrimp ceviche was a little spicy but good too. Drink-wise the classic margarita was delicious! Fun and fairly casual atmosphere. Would recommend!

Absolutely loved the farm to table food at this Mexican restaurant. The homemade tortillas were the best I’ve ever tried. The queso flameado was delicious along with the carne asada and chocolate dessert. Would highly recommend! Beautiful space also.

Loved the ambiance and location. Food was good but I wouldn’t say memorable especially for the price, very expensive. Service was very good, can’t complain. No kid friendly meal options. Would I be back? Probably not. My husband and brother in law really liked the pickled habanero sauce if you like spicy that’s a perfect option.

The experience was great. We had shared appetizers, and all wee great. The server was very helpful and suggested that we do dinner "family" style, so we ordered a bunch of hand-made plates, and it was plenty. Would return here again.

The new fall menu items are to die for. The Calabaza in particular is *chef's kiss* phenomenal. The Mirador cocktail, unmatched. Our server Forrest was top notch. I brought a friend visiting from the Cayman Islands to celebrate her birthday and she's in love with this place now. 5 stars, only because I can't give more.
