We had a wonderful experience. Loved the food and ambiance
We had the same consistent experience we always do and is the reason we enjoy this place! The food, drink and service was superb!
excellent service. The food superb as usual.
We really enjoy our dinner.
Food was super salty.
The food was late. THE lobster for the Lobster Pasta was presented.... twice.
The wait between apps and food was way way too long.
The server was missing in action
Hello and thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We sincerely apologize that the experience was not up to par. Our general manager is reaching out to you privately now to follow up. All the best!
The service was great! But the foods were ok not great. Disappointed with fish or lamb chop. Best octopus ever! I may come back for the octopus and cocktail (was great too) but not for others.
I have loved coming here for years now . Everything is always great and i would tell anyone who wants a great nite out to come here .
Service is down, better experience in the past
We sincerely apologize for anything beyond friendly, attentive service. No matter the issues you experienced when you dined with us, I can assure you it is not a sign of how we expect service to be at this level. Our general manager is reaching out to you privately to follow up. Thank you again, all the best!
Always one of our favorite places in Atlanta. No dish has ever been a dud; only complaint is that often we would like more. The Greek chocolate lava cake was beyond belief. We do wish that the wait staff were a little less obsequious, but that seems to be almost everywhere these days.
We had an amazing experience celebrating my bf’s birthday! The food is superb! The waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly! We will definitely come back!
We celebrated my wife's birthday for dinner. Great service - no rush and felt like we were dining. Outstanding meal in every respect. Enjoyed the octopus and lamb pie along with a salad as our starters with a bottle of wine (half priced on Sundays!). We decided to have the char fish dish for two. Done perfectly for us. We were full at the end and had to pass on the nice desert selection. Our thoughtful waiter brought a birthday desert "to go" for my wife to enjoy later. Lots of nice touches the entire evening. Thank you.
Lobster pasta was a great disappointment. No desert for my birthday. Always have received one in the past years.
Waiter was excellent.
Tony, we sincerely apologize that the lobster pasta was not incredible and very much for missing your birthday. We take great pride in making people feel extra special on their special days and it saddens us that we missed it. Our general manager is sending you a private message right now to follow up. Thank you again for taking the time to write the review. All the best!
Excellent food with detail to preparation. Although food quality is top-notch, I consider the value only fair as the portions are so small.
Had the skate fish for 2; very rich, but so tasty. We obtained MODERN GREEK COOKING and executive chef and author Pano Karatassos was nice enough to come out and sign our copy.
Kyma is by far our favorite in the Buckhead Life Group. They are perfect for a special occasion! Service is attentive, the food is unique, and attention to detail is on point. The octopus and lamb pie are clear standouts. Only negative being that the portions seem to be getting smaller, notably on the beet salad. Thrilled to receive an autographed copy of their new cookbook at the end of the Summer program!
Definitely one of our favorite restaurants in Atlanta. Love the Greek/Mediterranean food
The food was great and so was our service.
Unusual that we had a trout dish that was undercooked.
I think the bread should be served warm.
Still have the best Greek Salad and grilled Octopus!
It was my son't birthday. The food was fantastic, the best fish I have tasted in a long time. The wait staff excellent, and it was overall the most pleasant experience. We are still talking about it, and it will be remembered by my 23 year old son forever. My husband also loves good food (like my son) and he raved about it. I told my boss about it, and we are thinking of having our holiday party there!
Thanks for making it so SPECIAL.
We had the dinner tasting menu-- four dips with pita (house-made fresh hot pita, fantastic!); three mezes: we had the lamb pie-- not really a pie but a spiral of filo wrapped around shredded lamb, slightly spicy, scallops perfectly cooked and served atop a yellow lentil puree, pork ribs that were meltingly tender, falling of the bones; our shared entrée was trout with a spinach stuffing and a tomato sauce with capers. I highly recommend all of these dishes.
Consistently excellent food and service with great gluten free vegan options.
Always pleases us when we go there. So many great dishes, both Greek and seafood!
It took over an hour to get our entree. Server seemed taxed and over committed. There were also 3 refrigerator sized bouquets of flowers ( lillies and roses) the smell of which made tasting the food difficult. I cannot imagine a chef who would allow smells to overpower his or her cuisine. Normally Buckhead Life Restaurants are very good. Not so much tonight.
Kyma does not disappoint. No matter whether you order a fish dinner or several small plates, it is always good!
Absolutely delicious from start to finish. The service was flawless and welcoming. The food tasted so fresh and light, it was atypical of today's overly fancy and precious meals. Full of fresh and clean flavors, and just the right amount. See photos for watermelon salad with watermelon sorbet and feta, and a seabass with lemon butter and capers with a side of lemony kale. Topped off with a small bowl of pistachio ice cream that came with the baklava I was bringing back for a friend.
We were seated at 5:30, and the kitchen was very slow getting started. We were given an amuse bouche of bulgur in grape leaves. We split a tasty appetizer of spanakopita and then had to wait until almost 6:25 for our meals. My friend liked her salmon. I liked the zucchini fritters and the quinoa salad, although the latter was overpriced for the small portion served. Additionally, the glass of sauv Blanc appeared to be under-poured, especially given the $13 price tag. Our server was excellent. Overall, though, the cost of the meal far exceeded its value. I will continue to frequent other BLG restaurants, but I will not return to Kyma except as required by the Summer Dine program.
A fabulous meal which included the lamb pie for the first time. Always a favorite.
Our Kyma experience was exceptional and a great introduction to Greek Cuisine, for my family and friend. I would highly recommend this establishment for a special occasion or if one wants to try something different but exciting at the same time.
Absolutely the best seafood in town. The Arctic Char was full of flavor and melt in your mouth. Lavraki was reminiscent of the best branzino we had in Italy, just as good. For an appetizer we had the mousaka, an old favorite from the Greek restaurants in Chicago, but this was different. Instead of the everyday family type dish we was accustomed to, this was elevated to a whole new level. The caramelized eggplant (fabulous) topped with béchamel sauce and melted cheese was actually lighter than you would imagine and full of flavor. Interesting wine list, all Greek wines so we had to rely on the sommelier, who was very helpful. Don't skip dessert --baklava is highly recommended. If you have ever had this before you are accustomed to something thick and gooey. Not here, again it was lighter than you can imagine and paired with ice cream was lovely.
Meal was delicious. Plates are petite but don’t be fooled they are filling. Reasonable prices. Lovely dining area. Very nice ambience .
Noise level is exceptionally low making conversation pleasant.
Kyma has become my new favorite among the Buckhead Life Restaurants! The Lobster Pasta was excellent, and my husband's trout was flavorful and delicious. We also sampled the assorted spreads with pita bread which was also a great choice. The Mykonos Martini did not disappoint either. Most of all, Ava, our server, was pleasant and very helpful with making suggestions. We will be back for sure!
Kyma is a fabulous restaurant in the Buckhead Dining Group. The food is authentic Greek and presented very well. What made it more special for us is speaking with Chef Pano who after learning that we enjoy beef cheeks brought us out the special for the weekend which was lamb cheeks. Lamb is one of our most favorite meat so this was a special night having this made in the traditional Greek way. Esthetics are lovely and atmosphere as well. We enjoyed the night and had a terric waiter Vios.
Great place. Great food.
Very elegant restaurant with wide menu choices in pleasant surroundings
items are fairly expensive. Portions are small
Food is always delicious! Our server, Nikko" was professional, personal, fun and made our experience extra special!
Even tho traffic allowed us to arrive before our reservation time,we were seated promptly and with a smile. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Our waitress helped us decide on wines to try and was very attentive and helpful thruout our meal.
Thank you for a delicious dining experience!
My parents had an absolutely lovely time for their 24st anniversary. Kyma provided the perfect food, atmosphere, and customized pieces to make the evening special.
Always a treat! The food was delicious as always. I decided to have the lobster pasta which was unbelievable. You would think rich but just enough goodness without being heavy. Husband couldn’t resist the salmon which he always has. A definite must if you haven’t been.
Fabulous food and Taylor, the best server ever!
Unfortunately, they were out of the first three wines selected from the wine list, they forgot an appetizer and then when notified, they didn’t offer to come or otherwise improve the experience. Instead, they sent the entrees back (including a whole Dover sole for over $50) to sit in the pan or under heat lamps again while they brought that appetizer. Common sense is for $75+ a person you redo the dishes after you mess up. Not stick food under a heat lamp and hope customers don’t notice. Waitress was non existent after the wine snaffu and the manager just wanted to upsell into different menu choices, not fix either situation. We’ve come for over 10 years and this single experience was bad enough that we will never be back. To top it off, the valet stalled out a McLaren while we were waiting to get our car and finally leave. Disaster.
Hello Peter, please accept our sincerest apologies for this series of events. We would never expect anyone to be ok with anything you have described here. Our general manager is reaching out to you privately right now to follow up and make amends.
