For many years, the Kula Lodge has been a favorite for both visitors and Kama'aina alike for delicious cuisine and breathtaking views of Maui. Perched high on the slopes of Haleakala with a 180 degree view of Maui, the Kula Lodge and Restaurant is a comfortable and homey place to relax, especially on your way down from the sunrise or sunset at the crater. It is situated on 4 lovely acres and not only has a stunning botanical garden, it has the only full-service bar and live music in Kula, along with a wine cave/private dining room for special dinners/events.

The restaurant seats up to 160 guests, making it ideal for weddings and special events. The Kula Lodge outdoor Garden Terrace features a brick wood-burning pizza oven and an open view of south, central and the Maui mountains. The sunset views are absolutely phenomenal!

Kula Lodge & Restaurant is open 7 days a week for Brunch, Happy Hour and Dinner. There is also a retail shop and 5 hotel rooms on property. Call for more info!

We had a 1 pm reservation for a Father's Day treat, but after being seated we waited an hour for the appetizers and entrees we ordered. No food ever arrived. Our waitress avoided us. Other tables were served and finished eating. After an hour we let the manager know we were walking out to find some lunch somewhere else.

Everything was super! The food was so delicious - I recommend the ravioli appetizer and the tuna. There was a gentleman playing music, taking requests - it added to the experience. Our waitress was terrific! Five star experience - mahalo nui loa!

A great place to stop after watching the sunrise on Haleakalā. Food is excellent and you can get lunch for breakfast (if your body hasn’t made the time change from the mainland).

We made last minute reservations at Kula Lodge for our anniversary brunch. We hadn’t been since it changed hands. Having had a poor experience a few years ago, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised! It was a gorgeous day to dine on their terraced patio. The only thing better would’ve been some cushions on the cement seating, but we survived. The menu wasn’t extensive, however it was interesting! We loved the bruschetta! And the vintage mai tais were delicious! My husband and I both ordered the mochiko chicken and waffles which was very tasty. The waffle OR the syrup could’ve been made a little more savory, but the chicken was really good. If it tells you anything, both of us cleaned our plates :) Overall a wonderful experience and we’ll definitely go back! We’ve heard their Happy Hour is worth checking out, and we look forward to trying their hand made pizza next time!

Great hidden gem. Not the easiest to get to from Wailea but worth the trip. Food was outstanding. Great service as well. The live music was very nice. We will be back the next time we are in Maui.

Jimmy was our waiter….he did an excellent job and was very knowledgeable about the wines and food. He was pleasant and very attentive. We had a large party celebrating our anniversary so the entire evening was made very special. The food was very good. The views are incredible. Casual and very nice atmosphere.
