The loud pounding music was our first clue that Kona Grill has lost some of its classier ambience. Then we were seated at a booth that had a large tear/split on one side. Wow! Not doing ‘upkeep’ to the furniture. Then, one of the entrees was COLD & one was completely the wrong item. We tried with no luck to get our waitresses attention or the manager. The waitress even walked by our table twice while we were wildly waving at her and she completely ignored us. No refills on the drinks (tea and water) ever offered. When we finally confronted the waitress about the completely wrong order, she tried to blame the person who placed the order even though all of us heard him order the correct entree. Customer is apparently NOT always right at Kona Grill. Finally got the manager involved who merely offered a ‘starter’ for next time we come in. What? We said that was hardly adequate for the mistake and lack of response. So, the manager did agree to remove the charge for the incorrect order which was less than $20. Not a big loss! And yes, we left the waitress a nice tip even though she was incompetent. Kinda felt sorry for her. Anyway, we have eaten at Kona Grill many many times over the years and are sad to see it deteriorate! Hopefully management will improve!

I’ve been coming to Kona Grill in Dallas since 2010, and it remains the go-to spot for happy hour. The energy, service, and unbeatable specials have stood the test of time. The new Summer Menu is absolutely phenomenal. The All Day Chicken Brunch delivers a perfect crunch with its crispy fried chicken, fried egg, and potato-and-spring-onion cake—absolutely chef’s kiss. The Piña Rita is dangerously smooth and refreshingly tropical. Then there’s the Summer Heat Roll—shrimp tempura and cucumber wrapped in salmon avocado, with that spicy habanero cloud aioli bringing just the right kick. And the Crab & Brie Stuffed Salmon is a flavor powerhouse, paired beautifully with turmeric rice and sesame broccoli. Whether it’s classic happy hour or reverse happy hour, Kona Grill keeps the fun and flavor rolling. This place is woven into my Dallas memories, and I can’t wait for the next visit. 🥂🍣🔥

We had a great lunch at Kona. Traci was our server and made sure our order with all its sub-outs were fulfilled. I had a nice healthy salad and my husband enjoyed his penne pasta with lemon garlic sauce. I wish I had that sauce recipe!

I haven’t been to Kona grill in a few years and the food and service was amazing. We did the taste of Kona menu and everything was delicious.

Hmmm a bit pricey for the overall experience and quality. Service was great, but it all felt very boring and ordinary for what they were charging. We went on a Saturday night and it was not busy.

The initial welcome in to being seated very quickly the waitress introducing herself immediately was the ultimate feel good.. the food was amazing the service was amazing there was a change in shifts during our time they explained everything the highlight of the night was the restaurant receiving a big check for the BEST MARGARITAS and I must agree the two I had we’re WONDERFUL.. best night out so far 2025
