Visit again soon and also visit your Plano location!
DavidA thank you for your informative review, we hope to see you soon!
Worst service ever and I’ve been there times every time I’m disappointed
Second consecutive visit with biological contaminants in my drink.
I've eaten here alot and its a good place to stop in when I want a good dinner at the mall.
I enjoyed the experience. Food was outstanding. The waitress was real sweet and apologetic when it she was late attending to us.
The host Westley is great guy
Not worth the $90 we spent. My sushi roll was bleh and not what it used to be. Husband’s steak was just ok, lobster mac and cheese was bland and flavorless as were his Brussels sprouts. As if the used zero seasoning.
Watermelon margarita was a joke- a cup full of ice with tequila and two melon balls. Seriously? No watermelon or lime flavor could be detected; too many awesome cocktails available in Dallas to waste $14 on this mess of a drink. Waiter barely did his job, and seemed to have no knowledge of menu (asked if we wanted the margarita frozen… except it wasn’t available frozen… barely spoke to us asked if our meal was good, did we need anything, etc). Kona used to be so much better- we were there just a couple of months ago, so happy to see business returning after the covid mess, and food was very very good. This was like an entirely different restaurant, so I guess we won’t be dining there anymore.
Canary was the best server we have had in a long time! Amazing!
The vibe was nice and quiet. The food was really good and its some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. The prices aren’t bad at all and they are very reasonable.
Thank you for your informative review, we look forward to seeing you soon
My son & I having lunch
Veronica our server was amazing such a great job very attentive
Sat group at a table to small for a party of 10. Eat mea was brought out one at a time over 10 to 15 minutes. Kind of makes for awkward dinner.
Overall we enjoyed our dinner at Kona grill. Some of the dishes are overpriced in my opinion. $19 for a cheeseburger is too high.
Great food and service !! Kudos !
The waitress was great. The manager would also check on us periodically also.
I love Kona!! My sister and I went last night had a blast!! Manager was so kind...informative and awesome! We will be back!
We went on a Friday night it was busy so I expected a delay in food. I was wrong the food was out quick the watier was great. The food was good! I would definitely go again. Soon!
The food was excellent and service outstanding. The sushi was so fresh.
Food was not great! Pot stickers were not good
Eel was unremarkable
Sushi was Good
Service was great
We all ordered sushi for our entree and enjoyed the meal. The ice cream brownie dessert was more than 4 of us could eat- it was good, so big and so shareable!
The appetizers of the lettuce wraps was fair.
Good, better service would make it GREAT. Food impeccable! I recommend.
Kona grill has unfortunately gone down hill. They required a reservation but then sat us in the bar despite numerous tables being open (it was a Wednesday at like 7pm… not a peak time). Hostess was not very friendly, service at the bar was mediocre, and the food was just ok. It’s absolutely overpriced for what it is. Sushi is not any better than grocery store sushi but it’s at least double the price. Not the worst restaurant but certainly not the best. Would only eat there again as an absolute last resort.
Great service and lots of great choices on the menu.
Always a great experience. Loved the bartender Marshall as always and our waitress was really attentive and sweet! 10/10
Very disappointed. Slow service; took 30 min to get an appetizer. The California roll never made it to the table. It took a long time to get anything. Ribs were tough.
Celebrated Fathers Day. The Food for 2 in our party of 4 came out first, I kept thinking in a few min the rest of the food would arrive…..waited and waited and waited. They finished their food before our food even came out…..WTH!
WhenI asked the waiter he acted like that was “normal”. I eat out a lot and never have I ever had 1/2 the food come out 20 min later and the server never say a word. The food was average and definitely not worth what I paid or the wait. Very disappointing! There are a lot of great restaurants in Dallas, sadly Kona is not one of them.
We waited over 30 minutes for our food. This was the first time we had Brunch at this location. We will not be back for brunch but will return for dinner.
The host and manger were not helpful. Had a reservation for 9 and gave us 8 seats even when I told them couple of times we were 9. I pulled a chair and table since they couldn't find a solution. Manager and host were confused as to why I pulled the extra chair. Seems they couldn't count correctly, how you have the easiest job and still cant perform. Good thing we had a good server and made the experience better.
Super disappointed with our latest visit to Kona Grill. It took 15-minutes to seat us although we had a reservation (and they were only moderately busy) and it took another 15-minutes before any server checked on us for even a drink order. We had to go back to the front to ask if they had forgotten we were there. Once ordered, the food came out at all different times for our party of 5 and several things were over-cooked. The prices are all over the place ($8 for a side of sweet potato fries?!). So sad as we used to really enjoy this restaurant in 2019 and prior years.
The restaurant was a bit hard to find. I had it in my head that it was across the street. We went for brunch. The food and service was good.
Everyone is short staffed so I don’t expect anything more from our waiter. The problem was the gnats, all over the place like we were in a barn or 3rd world country. Unacceptable to not have the pests under control
Food is amazing as always.
First of all, my daughter loved the birthday “butter cake” with ice cream and raspberries! Our server was very kind and her effort to provide good service did not go unnoticed. My biggest disappointment was the restaurant felt very “mall-like” and corporate. For those prices, i expect a higher level. I paid 16$ for two extremely undersized veggie sides. The Brussel sprouts weren’t terrible just not enough in the bowl. The broccoli was not only tiny but saturated in maybe “veg-all” or some cheap margarine. Aside from the very decent server, i wouldn’t spend another $200 here ever~
The food was really good. The service was really slow
Had to wait too long even with a reservation. Waiter completely forgot my sushi order so I didn't even get to eat. Thank goodness we ordered an appetizer. Won't be back ever
Extremely overpriced for the quality that was presented.
Had a reservation, ended up getting sat at the bar. Food was mediocre and very over priced for what you got. Definitely not a great spot for a date.
Marshall is the best bartender in the entire world
Wonderful to be back to fine dining! Everything about the meal was delicious. Just enough attention to meet our needs but not feel like the service was interrupting our conversation.
The food was delicious and the service was great !
