    Probably the most delicious meal we have had at this KONA GRILL in the last few years! Food was fresh, delicious and the correct temperature! Dan was our server and did a terrific job! Prices have gotten very high and portions reduced , which is frustrating as we would like to dine here more. The later hours are much appreciated. We will be back!

    I’m a regular at Kona this past experience just had a few hiccups. I really like their seasonal menu options it’s a great value $39 for a grass of wine or bubbly, a salad of your choice, entree steak or pasta dish and a dessert. My daughter always gets the bento box and dessert and it’s excellent as well. This particular dinner we invited family from out of town and the vibe was just off, a few items tasted off and the service was slower than normal. My moms Kona Stir Fry came out with no rice and she waited forever for a refill on her iced tea. The flow of energy for a great dining experience wasn’t there this time but I do like Kona and recommend it. We’ve dined there for a long time and the mangers followed up offering options for resolution after my review. Which as much as we eat there I thought was very nice and appreciate it.

    We waited to come in late on Mother’s Day to avoid any delays and planning paid off since the restaurant was nearly empty at 9pm! Service was great from Sydney. Only disappointments were the reduced menu and the small portions of the salmon and fried rice especially in light of the increased prices. Our favorite server Kevin was unavailable and he is missed. We will be back next week when the full menu and happy hour specials are available.

    When the waitress starts apologizing for the quality of the food before you see it, it isn’t a good sign. Reservations at 7pm, ordered at 7:30pm, over an hour later our food finally arrived… WAY overcooked. This was our first time visiting and it was underwhelming and disappointing. Despite the fact that that the waitress acknowledged how awful the food was before giving it to us, we still had to push to have the smallest discount applied to our meal, which is confusing. If you can’t handle reservations, you need to limit your availability.

    I felt like we were on the first 10 minutes of an episode of Kitchen Nightmares where they show all of the dysfunction 😂 How are they even in business?! Their ratings are skewed by a strong foundation of success. Searching their recent reviews gives a more accurate picture of the state of affairs. I left a long detailed experience review on Google. We’ll never be back.

    Pretty bad experience. Had a 6:30pm reservation for 6, got seated at 7pm. Half our meal showed up, ended up leaving and not paying for the other half. Left at 8:20 really disappointed.

    The experience was awful. One of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. We were sat 15 minutes late for our reservation and then had to wait two hours for our meals to be served to us. I want to be clear this was not an issue with our server . He was doing everything he could to provide excellent service. This was entirely an issue with the kitchen and with mismanagement of reservations. I blame Kona Grill’s management and corporate headquarters for this inexcusable evening. My recommendation to the operators of Kona Grill? Either clean up your act or vacate your location in Carmel. Who needs this kind of a restaurant? The service experience we received was unacceptable and unconscionable. You should be ashamed.

    Went for Mother’s Day and ruined the day. Waited an hour and a half for a well well well done (medium rare) steak and raw Wagyu fried rice. If you hate the mother in your life bring her here they will completely treat her terribly. I love my wife and destroyed her day by coming to this place.

    Steak was dry, salmon overcooked and sushi very average. Very pricey for the portion size and food quality. Total was $350 for 4 people, and we didn’t even ordered alcoholic drinks. Waitress was beyond nice all the time, and apologized for food taking so long. Not planning on going back and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

    Don’t go there for an occasion such as Mother’s Day. They aren’t equipped to handle the amount of reservations they allow. Arrived 5 mins before my reservation. Waited 45 mins to be seated. Waited another hour plus to receive our food. Then my steak was cooked wrong. They offered to remake it but at this point we’ve been there for TWO hours. I just ate the $50 overcooked steak.
