We had decided to give Kona a second chance after our first time we had gone we did not have the best experience. We ordered 2 ribeye meals, with them cooked medium. When they had brought out our food both steaks were rare almost blue. We waited to see if our server was coming back anytime soon- she did not. Our potatoes that came with meal were cold. When our waitress finally came back we were done. She did not ask why we did not eat our meal just told us when ready we could pay at the kiosk. $160.00 that we will never get back. Please do better Kona Grill

Our waiter, Hamid, was just delightful! So patient, kind and made all of our party feel so welcomed and valued. The Macadamia Nut Chicken and potatoes are SO DELICIOUS! Our group of 6 shared a huge piece of Carrot Cake after dinner. It is "The Very Best" carrot cake any of us have ever had in our lives! OMG! You must try it! If you like carrot cake, this will give your taste buds such a treat and t is made in house, at Kona Grill, too! We enjoyed our visit to "The Village" in Meridian, Idaho and will look forward on returning to eat at The Kona Grill, next time we are in town!

We went there for the Sea Bass but they were having supplier issues. We had ordered 3 different appetizers and when they arrived they were placed on the table. We had to ask another waiter that was walking by for small plates so we could share the appetizers and they never arrived. We had to wait until our waiter came back to our table about 7 minutes later and still had to wait another 5 minutes to receive the plates. I ordered Surf and Turf. The Ribeye was cooked medium rare liked I asked but had no seasoning on it what so ever. I told the waiter and he acted like that was the way it was supposed to be. I actually had to ask for salt and pepper to eat it. I wasn’t offered for the steak to be taken back and seasoned. I was very disappointed in paying $49 for a steak that was not seasoned. Unfortunately we will not be going back to Kona Grill.

It's a tradition for me to go to new years eve dinner at kona grill. Usually I have a great time with my date, and I've never had any issues. But this new years eve, it just didn't quite reach my expectations. Every new years holiday they hire a dj for ambiance, but this year it didn't add to the atmosphere. He couldn't mix music all that well, and he was just so obnoxiously loud. I couldn't hear my date from the other side of the booth. The food was good, but not worth the price point for me. A fish and chips meal was 40 dollars for a small helping of fries and one piece of fish. Now I know that kona is known for its fine dining, and I've never really had an issue before, but I just didn't feel satisfied with the product and the price.

The appetizer prices were outrageous compared to Happy Hour prices. The food and ambiance of Kona Grill is why I keep coming back.

One of the few restaurants open in Boise on Christmas, but if it's going to be open, management should plan appropriately for staffing and maybe a special beer and wine menu since hard liquor is prohibited by state law on Christmas. The Beer and wine offering was just their usual and very low quality. But even worse than that was the service. Although we had a reservation, we arrived early and agreed to sit at the bar and forego our table. The bartender who served us was abysmal. Our appetizers arrived in a reasonable time frame, but after we completed them we couldn't get the bartender's attention to order more food. He never once asked us how we were doing or offered to refresh drinks. We made eye contact with him and tried to flag him down but he ignored us for 50 minutes! Finally got him and ordered food and a soda. He didn't bring the soda and we had to flag him down again. We waited 1h30m for our food. After an hour, we got his attention again and asked for status. He said "everybody's in the same boat". Like that makes it any better?? Kona Grill management, if you know it's going to be a busy night, have enough staff on hand to provide a decent experience!!! And maybe train your staff to give better service. Also, the food was really average at best. The steak "fried rice" had only a tiny amount of steak draped on top of it and the rice was definitely NOT "fried". It was just steamed with a bunch of soy sauce mixed in. It was a mushy, gross mess. Definitely not worth $29. The rest of the meals were "okay". No major complaints, but just not high quality or remotely worth the price. Overall a terrible Christmas experience.

Extremely slow service. Kids food came out an entire hr before ours did. Reservation was at 7, didn't get seated until 745, almost 10 by the time we paid our bull and took the adult meals to go becuase it took so long. Fried rice was cold and mushy
