   Opted for the three course dinner menu and shared the dishes. Top food, well presented and served. Recommended for groups, less for romance.

   My friend and I had the two course lunch option, and enjoyed the salmon and pork belly main dishes. But they were small in size. The cheese and biscuits and the ice cream were good desserts. We enjoyed the malbec wine but others on the list looked very expensive. The highlight for me was seeing a French waitress I had last seen several times in one of the best restaurants in Northern France

   The Saturday lunch set menu was great value - £23 for 3 courses and though small, the courses were beautifully prepared and delicious. Combined with the delicious spongey bread they top you up with all throughout the meal there was more than enough food.

   We have eaten at many Michelin star restaurants. This was one of the best. Absolutely fantastic our whole party was blown away. Nice relaxed atmosphere, great food and exceptional value for this level of dining. First class highly recommended.

   The appetizer of thinly sliced eel was spectacular to look at as well as to eat. The eel is sliced paper thin and is almost translucent , so that the initial impression is of a beautiful decoration on the plate. The beef for the main course was cooked to perfection. The wine carafes are terrific value and excellent accompaniments to the meal while keeping the overall cost of the meal reasonable. Along the same lines, there was no problem in sharing an appetizer or dessert. Our waiter was friendly but not too friendly and knowledgable of the food. In summary, we had a memorable meal for a reasonable price.

   The food was fantastic, deserved its Michelin star. The service was friendly and polite but lacked the professionalism of a top class restaurant. Errors made on drink service which really required some simple communication, serving tonic instead of bitter lemon because there was no bitter lemon, and hoping I wouldn't notice the difference! On line booking system seemed ineffective, we did not get our preferred time but the restaurant was quiet the night we went. I suspect if we had phoned we may have got our preferred time.

   My partner and I had Sunday lunch there on a weekend away in London. The food was lovely. The menu had a good variety of choice that suited us both and the service was also great. In fact there was nothing we could fault. We have already recommended the restaurant to several of our friends that live in the area and would return which speaks volumes really.

    Went out for a birthday meal on the Saturday evening (01-03-14). Food was excellent, service was top notch. The only thing that spoiled it was the fat middle-aged woman who looked like The Penguin slowly getting hammered and making a fool of herself on the table opposite. Night was partially ruined by her witch-like cackling and her penguin waddling to the toilet. Shame as I'm sure the resturant normally isn't like this. I just had the misfortune of attending on the same evening as Batman's greatest enemy.
