King's Fish House - Laguna Hills
To create the ultimate seafood experience, we traveled down the highways and byways. We pulled up a seat, put on bibs, and soaked up the seafood experience: The no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards, and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable.
The pleasure of preparing and sharing seafood was simple and genuine, and it brought out the best in everyone. Often, we felt as if we’d been welcomed into somebody’s home.
That’s what King’s Fish House is all about — and we’ve tried to bring all of these ideas together into one single, spectacular place, filled with camaraderie and celebration, and the things we love best. Welcome to the House that Seafood Built!

Good for brunch and kids.
Fish are fresh and cook to perfect!
Had a great Saturday brunch time with my wife and kid.
Servers are very friendly.
The avocado toast with crab is the best!
Service was just really slow and this has happened multiple times in a row
Everything was wonderful!!!
Our waitress did not know how to open a bottle of wine she brought us dirty glasses then let us at 45 minutes before taking our food order another waitress had to help us.
Prices are expensive and they ruined the brussel sprouts with adding so much unnecessary sauce. If u go there and want brussel sprouts or sparagus or any vegetable make sure I tell them u want it plain. If u don't say anything they will add so much unnecessary sauce and crap on it that it ruins the vegetable. I ordered the catfish and the bottom of fish was soggy and not very good. I had way better catfish and half the cost. This was the catfish meal of $22. Restaurant Bj's is much cheaper and 💯 times better the food. I wouldn't recommend this place if I was u.
Excellent! We love the steamed clams with chorizo and the crab & shrimp Louie salad was large, full of crab and large shrimp, and plenty of vegetables. The seafood ciopino was excellent. We had a wonderful server (sorry I didn’t get her name) that was attentive, offered us a sample of the soup when we couldn’t decide, and let us know for future reference that they do not charge a corkage fee if you bring your own wine! Although the Infamous Goose sauvignon blanc from New Zealand was very good.
Food was excellent.... it was great to be able to dine inside again!
Great meal, awesome service! I love their lobster tail special!! 2 tails, potato & vegetables for only $51 and I split it so that’s what you’d spend for dinner everywhere else, didn’t charge to split the meal either like some restaurants do. It’s right around the corner for me so I’ll be back!!
Fish was perfectly cooked. The meat was also done well.
Know this is a fish house, but if you offer steak, a medium rare order should not be served medium well. Also, if you're menu says "grilled asparagus", I would expect to get plain grilled asparagus, not grilled asparagus smothered with an unnamed sauce.
Another great meal at King’s Fish House in Laguna Hills. Our table of four all enjoyed our lunch. My husband and I both had the New England clam chowder and sushi rolls. Our friends both had grilled fish plates with sides. They were from Texas and had never eaten at King’s before. They loved it. The service was wonderful and we were seated by an open window so we felt really comfortable. They also have plenty of patio seating and shade.
The product that I ordered FAR exceeded my expectations. The service was great and the food was truly better that I assumed it would be.
Excellent fresh sea food, try the Halibut or Sea Bass
Our Easter celebration went well. Food was great as expected but service was a bit lacking. Our server seemed to be distracted.
Excellent food, spacious outdoor seating and totally Covid safe.
I enjoyed my Easter brunch at kings fish house. I realize we were there at the peek of time for Easter however of the 4 of us 3 of our meals were Luke warm at best. Taste was God but not hot enough
Very good food! Service was excellent and timely. The restaurant was a bit crowded as they are opening up and accommodating more people now. Still a good overall experience. Thank you.
Very expensive, must say the service was 200 x better this time around. Do think if someone is handicapped, that you would not have them walk to the back, you would seat them not too far from the entrance.
Our fav spot! Thank you for making our Easter the best!
We had a really great evening. They were very helpful and accommodating regarding changes do to diabetes related food issues. Wish they offered cauliflower rice. That would be so great for people like me.
Outstanding time with friends. Food was delicious, cooked perfectly and the service was great!
Need to pace their delivery of the entree better. Last 2 times they brought the entree minutes after the salads. Food was just sitting there going cold. Not to mention all the plates on the table.
Food was tasty and served hot! The service was excellent! We had a nice meal!
The restaurant is one of my local favorites. Had the fish tacos and they really are excellent. I also had their house Chardonnay which was surprisingly drinkable. Our waitress Julia was efficient without being obtrusive.
It was a very enjoyable way to dine.
Food was excellent. Service was personable, but slow. They seemed understaffed which would be understandable considering the recent COVID openings. Our first round of drinks from the bar took 15 minutes, they forgot to put in a bowl of clam chowder we ordered and they kitchen staff forgot to include shell crackers for the crab legs the same person ordered as well, who the special occasion was for on top of it. I will go back, but with the understanding that the service may not be too notch.
Anniversary
Alex served us and was very attentive. He made menu suggestions and answered all our questions. As always, King's was a great place to celebrate birthdays and get together.
Went for birthday celebration and my husband’s birthday was not even acknowledged. Really did not care for the table we were seated at too as deliveries were happening.
We had a great meal and a good time!
The sand dabs were great and the four of us had a great time. Alex was a great server.
We always enjoy the tried and true quality of the food. The waiters were very helpful and friendly. There is a lot of outdoor/patio seating.
Our dinner was delicious. The macadamia crusted halibut was perfectly cooked, moist and delicately flavored. The seared yellowfin tuna was very flavorful. Amanda was our server and she was extremely helpful and attentive.
Very safe Covid protocols.
Going away
The restaurant needs to get organized. We made reservations but still had to wait almost 30 minutes. If you offer reservations honor them. Once seated it took forever for the server to come over to take our drink order. Another long wait for the food to come out and then it was cold. A second round of drinks never came and we never got our requested water refill.
The server must have apologized at least 10x for each mishap. If the restaurant is going to charge their price point, they need to produce a great experience. If they can’t, they need to reduce capacity until they can. We understand they are catching up from COVID restrictions but they shouldn’t risk losing good customers like us by not being at the top of their game.
I think it’s reasonable if a customer takes the time to make a reservation then they should actually get a nicer table than those who don’t. We got sat at just a horrible table with way too many people around us pseudo outside and no partitions.
Yet there were so many nicer tables around the restaurant empty. It felt like it was done on purpose to give the wait person more tables.
I love your restaurant as well you may know as we go a lot to it. It was just a disappointment this time.
Great food!
We were greeted by Jeanne who brought us us drinks, that was so nice of her to help out. Aryanne was serving. She is always so nice and polite. We enjoy having her. Thanks. Thanks again Pat and Randy. Charged twice ($7.50). for chicken add on. I guess no big deal. We still love the restaurant
It was nice for a special occasion- but wouldn’t go regularly for my daughter & I it was over a $100
We love this place so much. Each time we leave with happy face
Outstanding lunch!
