Authentic colonial experience with excellent service and unique menu.
The ambience was so lovely and the food superb! We heartily recommend the syllabub dessert! It was exquisite!
Food was lukewarm, boarderline cold!
I was so excited to get reservations here since I hadn’t been since I was a teenager. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks, aesthetic and service. We highly recommend!
First time eating here. Everything was wonderful! Food was delicious staff was a joy. Pricey but it was a special occasion.
Very accommodating we were 3 separate parties and they were able to join us together
Always a very nice dining experience. Lydia provided very good service. One of our favorite stops in Williamsburg.
Great ambiance and service. Outstanding food. A must for anyone visiting this area!
We were seated on time. As we waited for our orders to be taken we were given a history lesson by the waitress. The food was excellent and came shortly after it was ordered.
Were there for my Husband’s birthday. Great food and service. Waitress was very authentic with the happy birthday “song”. Kudos
The kings arms tavern is a wonderful place to take a date. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food is great and the service is unmatched!
Always an excellent experience.
As always, the service was superb and the food was first-rate. Our server, Carolyn, was even better. Not long after we were seated, she took our beverage order and she when she returned she took our order. Everything came not long after she placed our order and the food was perfect. We would recommend the King's Arms Tavern to anyone that ever visits Colonial Williamsburg.
A Must-Do if you're visiting Colonial Williamsburg. Be sure to book a table far in advance!
What a wonderful place to dine after visiting the area. The setting of the restaurant was very welcoming and makes you feel you traveled back in time. The service was superb and the food was far beyond expectation. We ordered the peanut soupe and crayfish & shrimp stew (we enjoyed this over the peanut soupe) to start, with entrees of Mrs. Vobe’s Tavern Dinner (basically prime rib dinner), Chop of Shoat (pork chop), and the Hunter's Game Pye. Both the prime rib and pork chop were very tender and juicy. For the the game pie we were a little skeptical it might be gamey, but it wasn't gamey at all! All dishes were very flavorful and simply amazing! To end the fantastic meal we had the Syllabub and the warm wild berry crumble which was also exceptional with the perfect sweetness.
Overall we really enjoyed the restaurant and dinner, and will definitely go back whenever in the area again.
Good food in a great setting. Waiter, George, was attentive and gave us historical info to add to our evening.
We knew it would be pricey, but enjoyed every minute . Great food, service & atmosphere.
We had a lovely Christmas Eve dinner at King’s Arms! George, thank you for always making our evenings special! 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
Christmas Eve at Kings Arm was wonderful. Excellent service and delicious meal. Recommend the lamb, fresh fish and tenderloin.
Guess I expected too much for Christmas Eve. Checked in early and was herded into the waiting area by the dour Maitre d'. What's this...no period music or holiday music to dine by? Sadly, no. Waitress was pleasant and fairly attentive once we were seated at the "appointed" time. Meal was...eh. Fatty Prime Rib that was just the right size...for a child. Cut off the fat and you had a few good bites. Just too much money for too little quality. Not booking King's Arms ever again. Wish Philadelphia's City Tavern was still around. They did Christmas right!!!
Loved it. Good for a special occasion. Wonderful colonial character.
Perfect dining experience!
A Wonderfully total experience… highly recommend
This is a historic recreation of ye old dining experience which is a must if you are in the area.
Good food, nice atmosphere and very friendly service!
The King's Arms has a lovely atmosphere, with friendly staff and excellent food. The hot cider and pecan pie are a must.
The food was amazing. The service was wonderful. The ambiance was incredible. I can't say enough good about this restaurant.
We ordered the beef tenderloin and prime rib and they were so tender you didn't need a fork. The crayfish stew was so good he licked the bowl. Serving sizes were perfect. The chocolate tort was also wonderful - they use the same dark chocolate they sell in the stores. Definitely recommend getting ice cream with it.
I'm gluten intolerant and the waitress was very informative about what I could and couldn't eat. Most of the main menu was gluten free but I wish more of the soups and appetizers and desserts were. We will definitely be back!
The service was fantastic. The food was delicious. The Sally Lunn Bread with the relish try (ham relish, corn relish and butter) and the colonial Peanut Soup started us off. We had one 1700s meal - Wild Game Pye and Syllabum desert; and one Beef Tenderloin and Mixed Berry Crumble desert. All of them were delicious. It was the best meal we had in Williamsburg. Our server Christine was awesome as well. Highly recommend - as soon as you know you will be in Williamsburg make a reservation as they book up quickly.
Christmas in Williamsburg is a tradition and kings arms is always our go to!!! Looking forward to next year!
So cozy! And the server was a pro. It was amazing the way she interacted and made every group feel special. And made the entire room feel like a family. And the food was amazing! You have to get the Game Pie. So delicious. And so colonial! The entire experience was just wonderful.
We eat here once a year and are never Disappointed with the food and ambiance. The waiter was especially informative and helpful in making suggestions from the menu.
Celebratory Birthday dinner was fantastic. The service was top-notch; and the atmosphere was true to Colonial Williamsburg. Candle-lit dinner in front of a fireplace with a touch of history, combined with wonderful food. My husband ordered the prime rib which was delicious. I ordered the filet and it was cooked perfectly and the sauce was wonderful.
Would highly recommend and will be going back when in town.
Very difficult hearing the waiter with his mask, accent and most of all, poor surrounding and background noise. Food was marginal.
It was a lovely experience and made our trip to Williamsburg all the more special. Delicious food and wonderful ambiance.
Wonderful dinner in a special place! I had the Rockfish special and my wife the brined pork chop. Try the peanut soup- unique.
We absolutely love the King’s Arm Tavern! We planned our entire trip to Williamsburg around eating here. We always recommend it!
Very cozy and comfortable environment. Our server was attentive, efficient and personable.
The food was outstanding.
We had such a nice eating experience.
We have always enjoyed dining at the taverns in Colonial Williamsburg, and The King's Arms is one of the best!
Excellent experience as always.
