Came here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and everything was wonderful. They gave us a seat at seaside and it was perfect. We also received a complimentary Hula Pie. This is our second time here at this restaurant and I highly recommend them. Thank you for accommodating our special celebration today.
We went to Kim’s in February 2021 while masks were required. The staff was extremely effective at handling the challenging situation and the food was amazing.
It’s an awesome restaurant! I would recommend to everyone to come here! Food is so onu (delicious)!
Went to Kimo’s for the calamari. It was delicious as usual. I ordered fish tacos. I received 2 fish tacos. The fish was grilled. It was fishy tasting. The tacos were quite bland. My husband ordered the fish and chips. He received 3 smallish pieces of battered deep fried fish. He told me it was OK. Then our group shared the Hula pie which is well-known in Lahaina. It was absolutely yummy! The ambiance is very nice. Next time I’ll just order the calamari!!
The service was great! Drinks were good. Food was very average for the price. We’ve dined at many Lahaina restaurants and know $124 could buy much better fare.
Drinks, appetizers, and entries were delicious. We ordered the calamari and fish of the day. Be sure to save room for their ‘hula pie’.
Definitely the best place we ate at in Maui. Loved everything about Kimos!
The food was delicious! The view was amazing! Service was great! David was very knowledgeable!
We loved the Mahi Mahi fish, prime rib and fish tacos. Also loved the Hula Pie!
Good service, mediocre, but spendy, food. No restaurant parking.
A perfect location for a dear friend’s birthday lunch. The chilled shrimp and crab salad was such a treat!
My girlfriend’s 75 birthday celebration so the HulaPie at the end of a perfect gunner and Mai Tais made it the perfect evening. Keep up the good work and I will see you next year again.
Crab cakes, seared ahi, and poke starter were great. Live music, right on the water. Reasonable prices for location. Would come back.
Great food at a great price.
Anniversary
We had a reservation for our 31st wedding anniversary at a neighboring restaurant. Due to Covid they have limited inside seating and when they had to close the roof due to rain they had nowhere to put us. They cancelled our reservation 15 minutes before we were supposed to be there. Everywhere else was booked out! We ran over to Kimo's and told them what happened. They fit us in and gave us a beautiful view seat. We were so appreciative. The food was good and the service was great. Thank you Kimo's for saving the day. Really, Thank you to the hostess who saw our dilemma and was kind enough to help us have a great anniversary dinner, after all. We had already made a reservation for Kimo's later in the week and rather than change it, we went back and enjoyed the restaurant again.
We both had the Parmesan crusted stepped marlin. We also split a Caesar salad. The fish was delicious..light and very moist. We topped off our dinner with some great hula pie! A wonderful dinner!
Great location with ocean view, excellent food and good service!
Thirty three years ago we ate at Kimo’s for the first time! We’ve been back several times and it’s consistently good! This time did not disappoint! The fish is always great - Mahi-mahi and Monchong - superb preparation with perfect sides! And the service was wonderful!!
Some background: this was my first trip to Lahaina, and I booked a table for two at Kimo's specifically because of their live music. I called before arriving on Maui to confirm the booking, and I was advised my the hostess to book "downstairs" as it would be difficult to hear any of the music at an upstairs table. So we requested a downstairs table for our seating.
Fast forward to our upstairs seating. We were seated promptly on arrival for a 6 PM booking, shown to an upstairs table, and ordered drinks. And while we were vaguely aware of music being performed, it was, indeed, difficult to hear much of anything.
The Mai Tais were excellent, not sweet and made with fresh ingredients. Dinner - a beet salad, and monchong (a fish I am not familiar with) with a parmesan coating/baby carrots grilled/rick was outstanding!!
The beet salad was good, but it could never be more than a beet salad.
Service was attentive, but not cloying.
Were the drinks and the meal "unforgettable" ? Not really. I think a number of restaurants could produce comparable fares.
Sadly, I can't comment on the music. The little I heard on the way out the door was nice. It would have been nicer had we been seated per our reservation and able to enjoy a very nice meal with live music.
Always great service and food.
The food is terrible. Don’t get the fish and chips or fish tacos. Over priced. The Lahaina Fish Company has much better food. The good thing is the Hula pie. Highly recommend only purchasing the pie
Loved it all but was disappointed in our table. Used to premium seating when booked thru Open Table app. We were seated at two non view seats, the second table had a leak near by.
Excellent menu. Fish tacos and prime rib are highlights
We have been coming here since 1978 and it never disappoints!!
The Kimo's fish preparation is amazing. We wish we could enjoy it in Minnesota but return every year.
A special treat are the carrot muffins.
Our recent server, Sheri was really great.
We will be back.
Kimo's is the spot to eat dinner and enjoy the sunset. They provided us with complimentary carrot cake muffins to get started and it was just the beginning of the yumminess that was to follow. We enjoyed dinner with a beautiful view and great service.
Wonderful service. Very good with Covid compliance. All chairs as well as table are carefully wiped down between patrons. Beautiful ocean front setting with open air dining. We were not rushed at all. Great live music. Fabulous value for setting. We will return!
We were celebrating our 30 year anniversary ❤️
Ribs were so dry they were hardly edible. Other food was pretty good. Waitress was nice and attentive.
Crab cakes, Parmesan crusted fish and prime rib all a 10/10.
The location, the food, and the service...all excellent!
Went for my wife’s 50th Birthday and it didn’t disappoint, we’ve dined here since the early 2000’s and they always deliver. Excellent views, great service and tasty food. Had the pork lettuce wraps they were delicious! For the entree had the fresh mahi mahi plate that had rice and an awesome pasta salad. The drinks came fast and the service was top notch with a complimentary huge piece of Hula pie as a dessert. Touch less menu and payment was easy and hassle free. Highly recommended place to eat for your visit to Lahaina.
Delicious as always! We each had Parmesan crusted Oprah and it was delicious. Perfectly prepared. We also had a Caesar salad, and of course we had to include a piece of hula pie! Our server,Raquel was very nice and gave us great service.
We had a great anniversary dinner here at sunset.
