Birthday dinner! Good food, great service, and amazing views! Hula Pie was on the house! Thanks Kimo’s.
Good food and service. Only complaint would be that sometimes you could smell a "sewer " smell.
Food portions for appetizers and entrees were smaller than expected for the prices charged. Only five shrimp in the shrimp cocktail. The fish was well seasoned but over cooked. The cocktails were very watered down or iced up as the case may be. It rained and rain was blowing in from the sides and also dripping from 2 places overhead onto our table and onto one of our guest’s head. Had a disappointing experience here a few years ago and will not be returning.
Had the best time at Kimo’s food was wonderful. I had the Ono which was prepared perfectly and my husband had the prime rib which was also wonderful. Service by staff and waiter Evan was excellent. Finished the meal with their famous hula pie so awesome.
Hula pie the best
Fish good not great
The focus is on fresh fish and beautiful views. Simple yet elegant dinging in a very relaxed atmosphere.
We started with 2 nice crabcakes. Then we shared the beet salad, which was mostly arugula with some small pieces of beets. Very mediocre. For an entree, I had panko crusted ono with capers, which was dry and flavorless but better than my hubby's coconut crusted marlin. Neither of us finished our meals. Not worth the money for the food overall. Waiter pushed us through every course. Music, view, and island ambiance were great.
We loved this place! Sidnt know it was owned by the people who own Dukes and Hula Grill. Such greta service and great food! My husbamd had prime rib and i had a yummy macademia nut mahi w vegetables. We shared a nice size salad and aince it was my birthday, we were treated to a nice big Hula pie!!! Yummy!!!
Open air restaurant overlooking the water is just spectacular. I recommend going for the sunset. It is such a beautiful view. You can also see whales during whale season right from the table. Service was excellent and food was very fresh. The fish was obviously caught the day of and very flavorful.
Was a little upset with the way they took care of us. We were a little early, so instead of seating us they had us wait while they sat four groups, that came in after us with no reservations. Then, I ordered a steak, good flavor, but was so full of grizzle that I could barely chew it. Said nothing because we had already waited 45 minutes, after we ordered, to get served, and our waiter was no where to be found for a delayed time. He never did check on us after being served. Not good!
Great fish and the ocean side seating is beautiful.
Awesome food and service! Love Kimos!
We bought a couple shirts too!
We brought another couple with us two nights later for another great dinner! Feel free to send us another invite/coupon as we will be back next year!
Beautiful Ocean View!!! We had Crab Topped Mahi Mahi, which was delicious. Also huge Hula Pie ice cream dessert(delicious with chocolate sauce and macademia nuts). Service was great. The ocean view is right on the water, so can't be beat.
We both got fish dishes and enjoyed them both. Priceyer than $ i would say. Dinner plates ranged from $23-$37 ish and apps $10-$20 kind of small portions for apps
The service was amazing, the food was great. Loved the location of the restaurant, after dinner was able to walk and enjoy the little stores.
Perfect table overlooking water and just in time for sunset. Mahi mahi was delicious and hula pie for dessert , divine! A special place in Lahina not to be missed!
It was our annual trip to Maui. We have been coming for several years. It is fun to sit outside and enjoy the view.
Very nice, beautiful place, good food, server was great
They have discontinued their dinner rolls, which were really good and the fish not as good as past years.
Got a table for 4 by the rail at sunset. The food was excellent and the service very attentive.
Beautiful Waterfront setting with a great selection of Hawaiian seafood selections. Tastefully prepared and presented. Kimo’s is one of several excellent dining spots in Lahaina.
We try to eat at Kimo's once a trip, while in Maui. This experience was excellent and the food was great. Our server was very attentive and the food was brought out in a timely manner. We also brought in a prior receipt and were able to share a Kimo's Pie (which everyone loved). I had the Prime Rib, my wife had the Kimo's monchong, and our friends had the swordfish and the Kimo's mahi mahi. We also share the calamari to start.
Waitress was rude, over a 3/4 empty bottle of water. You know food can be good but service crap. Will not bring another guest there. I live in Chicago area, like here plenty of other restaurants to pick from.
We have been coming to Kimo’s for years when we come to Maui. It has always been our favorite place. But we are a little disappointed in the changes that have been made over the past few years. First they stopped making our favorite fish preparations; orange ginger glaze. Then they decided to stop including salad with the meal. This last visit We were so looking forward to their warm French rolls. Nope, “corporate” decided to get rid of those too. You now only get cold carrot muffins. Service was good and our food was good but just not happy with their corporate decisions to making changes. Not for the good as far as we are concerned
Always Outstanding!! Will go back again when on Maui.
We enjoyed wonderful food, a beautiful ocean view, and great service. They added an extra touch of Aloha! Mahalo to Kimo’s!!
Great fresh fish!!! Portion size is not large but very good. Can’t beat the view.
Very average food at modest prices. Small sized drinks for the price. Nothing noteworthy
