One of our favorite places on the big island! Everything was delicious, from the beef carpaccio to the scallops and filet mignon. The food was amazing and the service was fast and friendly. I highly recommend Kenichi’s!

Our waiter, "Maverick" was exceptional. This guy can tell you the specials in a way that you want every one of them. When he pours wine he does in a way that is spectacular... and never spills a drop. Want a great time? Make a Friday evening reservation for outside, (5:30 -6:00 pm), request Maverick and a table with a view of the Hula show that's right next to the restaurant.

Outstanding food and service. Our waiter Maverick was exceptional explaining the specials and items On the menu. The diver scallop curry was tasty and cooked To perfection. The risotto was truly the Dish you don’t want To miss. Delicious cocktails and the dessert -bananas foster was oh so Good. We really enjoyed our visit and Will be back!!!

Outstanding (as usual). We were even treated to a hula show on the outside stage. The server was so helpful in accommodating my vegetarian diet. the sesame aoli was wonderful. I need that recipe! My Husband had the dover sole which is one of his favorites that is rarely on the menu. He said it was cooked to perfection. We have been to Kenichi many times and will continue to return

Had dinner res and arrived early for happy hour However, told there were no tables. Obvious the restaurant was half empty. After waiting outside for half an hour, they allowed a new party who arrived into happy hour. Where upon I insisted we be seated an hour early. We were seated in the empty restaurant but were told happy hour only in the bar.

Absolutely spectacular. Best sushi I’ve ever had. Also the service was excellent. Staff is obviously very well trained. Our server, Maverick, was, not only an outstanding waiter, but also extremely knowledgeable about the menu. This restaurant ticks every box!

The food is good, had a ray of roll sashimi, nigiri and rolls. some of the roll ingredients where not ripe which was unfortunate and made a few bites of our rolls hard and bitter. The house nightly special roll was really good and was probably the best part of the meal. The reviews make this place sound promising so not sure if I set a high bar or over hyped myself up for this meal or came on an off night for the kitchen.

Everything was perfect, from start to finish. For appetizers we got the Sunomono, Ribs, and a miso soup. All of the apps were delicious, but the ribs are a must. For sushi, there was an Otoro special with option to have as nigiri, sashimi or a combo of both. We chose the nigiri and it was the perfect amount. We ordered 5 rolls (between 2 people) and our favorites were the rainbow roll and Hawaiian roll, but all of them were delicious. We also shared the sake clams vongole which was spectacular. Left very full and content.

Unexpected find in a strip mall. Waitstaff excellent and chef's creativity made it more than just a sushi restaurant. Lots of both hot and cold apps with wonderful salads and the chirashi bowl had great variety. Also had seared scallop with thai curry which was wonderful.

The food was delicious, well prepared. Even the veg tempura, which is very hard to do well. We started with happy hour in the bar, and enjoyed the tropical cocktails. I especially liked the lychee tini. The discounted sushi is a draw. We really liked 5 of the rolls we had. Loved the spider roll, salmon skin roll and eel roll the best only the spicy tuna disappointed. It was spicy. But we couldn't find the tuna. We moved to the dining room for dinner. Everything we tried was well made, and some of it was fabulous. The miso black cod shouldn't be missed. We made dinner by sharing many dishes. I don't know if the restaurant is used to that. We needed plates, a knife, serving utensils, and all had to be requested, some more than once. Worth the effort though. Great dinner!

We had such a wonderful time last night at Kenichi Pacific. Every time I visit Kona, Kenichi is a must have dinner. We were a party of four adults and three kids and were so kindly treated and seated us outside which was perfect. Our waiter was just fantastic. He was so friendly and accommodating with our many requests. Fantastic service! Thank you! We’ll be back!

Fillet was over done twice, and our rainbow roll never made it to the table. But regardless it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Maverick, our server was fantastic and not at fault for either miss-hap. Drinks were excellent as well. The black cod is a must

We had 7 people in our party & we were placed in a perfect corner. The food was awesome and our Server Maverick was the BOMB ‼️. He really took care of us and constantly checked on us. One of the very best experiences I’ve ever had, and I’ve been a paid travel writer for the number one guide book in Hawaii. The food was beyond amazing, the flavors perfectly balanced and expertly prepared. Top notch service and very good drinks. Without exaggeration I’d say that Kenichi Pacific is my favorite restaurant in ALL of the islands, and I’ve been to them all. You will not be disappointed by the quality of food and service.
