My son’s girlfriend’s burthday
Delicious selections in a beautiful restaurant in downtown Hollywood.
Accidentally made the reservation for Sunday instead of Saturday and they accommodated me and my boyfriend with no problems! Great bartenders, servers and AMAZING food!!!
I go to restaurants near the Pantages all the time because I have a series at the theater. Horrible service. A meal that lasted 2 1/2 hours should have been 1 1/2 because of service. Not worth the trouble. I will have to avoid this place unfortunately.
Swanky sushi spot with romantic lighting. The rolls are pricey but incredible.
Always excellent food. Service was great too. Don’t forget to order the Corn Crunch Roll. Superb.
Great Christian was our server he had great energy will come back again
Our waiter sucked. Food was great though.
Worse service at a ridicules price overpriced charge for everything including side of ginger spicy mayo and sesame seeds if then charge for water they would
Our dining experience at Katsuya was one for the memory books. From the moment we walked in to the bartender (and happy hour until 730) to our server, Christian to the food and dessert! Everything we ate was delicious and flavorful and as busy as our server was he made us feel like the only table in there. My last experience at Katsuya near Staples center was one of the worst and this made up for it tenfold. Thank you!
The whole experience last night was great. Kristian and his helpers were attentive all night. The food was amazing. We will def’ be back
we always enjoy it!
We were seated to our table right away. Beautiful atmosphere. Waiter was excellent and friendly. Food and drinks were excellent. Location to the Pantages was walking distance. Definitely would come back to this restaurant.
The staff is OK, they should go over the menu and make suggestions. When we go there we always are not sure what to order. We were going to a play down the street and this restaurant had an opening so we picked it. We have been to a ton of Japanese restaurants, we have been to Japan. We just always look at the menu and feel its organized in a way that makes deciding what to order difficult. Food was tasty, the short ribs, the brussel sprouts where great. The sushi, it could be what we ordered was nothing exceptional. It was good, just not over the top.
Katsuya provides an eloquent dining experience with quality dishes. Each dish is tasty with fine plating touches which makes them as beautiful to look at as they are to eat.
Great service - friendly staff
a great place to go before the Pantages show - food was great (we had two rolls, the short ribs, and the wagyu beef potstickers which were the weakest point). Service was great; ambiance a bit too noisy for us; we were trying to catch up with friends and couldn't really hear well.
Loved This Restaurant. A bit too dark . Hard to read menu. Sticky Rice so good.
Food was wonderful. Service was excellent.
Always a wonderful experience when we dine at Katsuya in Hollywood. The food and service is superb.
Fun LA ambiance and great Hollywood location for pre-theatre meal - and a great Happy Hour menu - but pretty poor sushi quality - good drinks though.
Great food and trendy ambiance
Outstanding food and service.
Katsuya's service was as delightful as the food. Our waiter gave solid recommendations for me and my dinner date, who went with the steamed edamame to start then shared a rock shrimp tempura roll, spicy tuna roll and one of the popular dishes -- the baked crab hand roll. The rock shrimp tempura was savory with the perfect amount of crunch while the baked crab hand roll was soft and fresh to the palate. Katsuya is a solid choice, especially if you're in the mood for Japanese food and stuck on where to eat.
Great place to go right before going to The Pantages
Great food and excellent service. Valet right outside as well which is helpful and convenient since it’s right on Hollywood blvd.
Lovely server who helped us get to the Pantages on time
More pricey than Katsura Encino and a smaller menu but excellent quality
For me it was one of the best sushi I ate for a long time. I really recommend the restaurant
Dinner was a pleasant experience, service was excellent and the food was spectacular
The food quality and service was good, however I thought the portions were extremely small for the price. We spent over $500 for dinner for 6 people, brought our own wine for the $25 corkage fee, and we all left feeling hungry still. And I found it strange the restaurant automatically added a 20% tip for a part of 6.
It was perfect
Love this place
Everything was wonderful but it was hard to have a conversation because the music was so LOUD.
I love Katsuya Hollywood. I love all of the Katsuya locations but this was is the original and I love it there. I was craving the baked king crab rolls. Yum. We are all our favorites and tried some new amazing specials. Fantastic meal.
They had a great DJ the night we were there and it definitely added to the ambiance.
The new lunch menu is simple and idiot proof. Cheers
Great fast service (we let them know we were trying to get to a show at the Pantages), and every kind of sushi we ordered was excellent.
Love it here. Spicy tuna on crispy rice, my favorite!
