not open so upset we showed up the restaurant was boarded up
I reserved a table for 2 on Sunday. Although I got my confirmation, once we went there the restaurant was closed and nobody was responsible. Even they didn’t respond to my phone!!!
Katsuya was amazing as usual. This was the first I wet to an indoor restaurant in quite a while due to Coronavirus and I made a wise choice. They took great care to make you feel safe and comfortable during the re-opening experience. And the food was amazing as ever.
Food was unbelievable. Staff was great, very clean. Felt really comfortable being there. Thank you!
Beautiful! Delicious! Safe! Really recommended
Food was amazing, fast, staff were so polite. One of the best experiences in a LA restaurant. Loved the DJ playing music and food was great.
Super rude front of house staff for an early Saturday 6pm reservation.
We were celebrating our anniversary and we had a amazing experience. The drinks and food were so delicious, and our service was fantastic. We had a private table reserved for us in a quiet area, but we decided to take advantage of the fantastic happy hour they have at the bar that ends at 7:30. We ordered from both the happy hour and regular menu and saved some money on some of the dishes we would’ve ordered at the table. The bar is very spacious and our servers were awesome. I knew going in to the dinner that certain dishes are already amazing, but we tried the brussels sprouts for the first time and they were the best we’ve ever had for only $7!!! The chocolate lovers desert with a custom message to celebrate our night to top the amazing night off. They have happy hour during lunch and dinner, we will be back for both soon!!!
Manicured, great tasting food and superior service
A little pricey!
All though the place was lovely, the value was horrible. The portions were tiny and the prices were way high. Spent $85 and we were still hungry when we left.
This was our second time here and we love it. Pricey but so worth it. Service is great. Near several theaters.
The roasted Brussel sprouts were the best I have ever eaten.
Love this place!!! I need to remember to ask the server to space out our order so that all of the food doesn't come out at once. I always have to have my faves! Love the Robata menu! Hamachi sushi!!!! The albacore sashimi with the fried onions is usually phenomenal, but this time the onions coagulated and stuck together in clumps. The scallop noodle special was outstanding!!! We always have great service. Can't wait til our next meal there!
Music was a little too loud but everything else was more than ideal.
I’ve been to every Katsuya in the LA area and I think that this is the worst of the best. Katsuya is my favorite Japanese restaurant chain. They are all pretty much amazing with each store doing their best serving up really good food. Sure the prices are a bit more than your typical sushi place but the quality is better and I believe that you get what you pay for.
As far as the Hollywood store goes...you’re paying a premium since it’s one of their flagship stores.
The Cali rolls are really good but they are smaller than the rolls from the other restaurants so you wind up getting another, etc. In the end, my daughter and I ordered up $153 worth of speciality rolls and assorted other things. The food was ok and the service was good. Would I ever go back to this specific store? Definitely not. The value just isn’t there.
I’m going to stick with the stores in Studio City, Encino and even Woodland Hills. I’ll be able to order more food and still pay far less than Hollywood.
The food and drinks are definitely over priced but the quality is great. The crispy rice spicy tuna at Katsuya is probably my favorite sushi dish out of anywhere.
Our server was very friendly and genuinely nice.
First time with the kids and they loved it!
Always amazing. The black cod is crave-able. Bartender made me a special off the menu cocktail with cucumber and spicy vodka. Delicious!
Music selection was a vibe. Food great as always.
Great, but in true Hollywood style, they will make you wait for a table even though tables are available.
It was a fabulous night! Our waiter Christian took amazing care of the table and it was a perfect evening!
Touristy, not amazing quality, service is trendy not friendly, there are many better places for sushi in LA
Great food, helpers were great, server could’ve been better
Great Food!
Music top loud can’t talk. Black cod mediocre. Everything else grear
Excellent food! Superior service!
Pre-theater meal
We stumbled upon their Hollywood location and were so glad we did. We really enjoyed some of the creative sushi - the crab handroll made with soy paper instead of nori, the corn crunch, and the spicy tuna crispy rice - all highly recommended. And the Brussels sprouts were amazing!
Great drinks, delish sushi et al, drippingly cool decor. It’s fun
Had and amazing night. Great staff. Fast service. Good looking crowd. So LA :)
Great night celebrating our anniversary
Thank you! We love eating here! Daniel was awesome this evening!
Although pricey and beyond noisy, the restaurant was beautiful and the food truly stellar. Because I dine out to chat with friends, the noise level would prevent me from ever going back. However, I would order and have it delivered. If you like a lot of noise - or don’t mind it - it would be a great experience.
Beautiful restaurant, expensive with very good food in small portions. A hot place at the moment.
Service was unparalleled, in fact exceptional. Food was fresh, however portions were a little on the small side considering the expense. Overall was a great experience and I highly recommend it.
Very good sushi. Pricey. Well run restaurant. I thought they were part of Dine LA which was happening while I was there, but they were not. Not sure if Dine LA had bad info? Nice pre-theater meal. Yelp said that valet parking is $14, but it's $20 if you stay longer than 2 hours.
Sobrevalorado comida buena poca cantidad alto precio
The food is amazing and service is too. ✨
Fun time. Good food. Great drinks
Everything was amazing, a vast improvement from last time. New management doing wonderful job.
