   Another exceptional dining experience at Kali! I enjoyed the "Greatest Hits" menu featuring some of the Kali favorites from the past 9 years. The beetroot tartare was sublime and the famous Rosemary roll with cultured butter was a perfect accompaniment to the rest of the tasting menu. The wine and cocktail program at Kali are thoughtfully curated to complement the cuisine. This dinner reminded me why I've been coming to Kali regularly since they opened nine years ago.

   All of the dishes are great. We are a group of 4 and we ordered a bunch of as la carte dishes to share. All of the appetizers/ small plates are good. The truffle risotto taste good but the rice is a bit on the hard side. The bread and rosemary butter is divine. For the main we opted for the duck breast which our group enjoyed; however, the $110 rib eye taste just okay despite the great plating. We think there is something off with the cut of the meat. The two desserts are simple but flavorful. Overall we still feel like the restaurant deserves a 4.5 stars.

   Kali is fabulous. One of the best restaurants in all of Los Angeles. Fantastic food, great wine selection, and stellar service.

   Perhaps this restaurant was having an off night based on all of the other reviews however, we are not new to this kind of dining. Our experience at Kali was extraordinarily disappointing. Eight of the nine courses were left wanting. Hot courses were Cold and Cold courses were warm. While the staff were friendly the meal was coursed in such a way to minimize effort in the kitchen and we were left waiting for our next course several times apparently because the couple at the table next to us was also enjoying the same nine course meal and the kitchen appeared to be timing things in sync between both tables. In short, no thank you. The flavors were contrived at best and sometimes nearly inedible. If it's Michelin dining you're wanting, there are so many of the other wonderful choices in Los Angeles to consider before this one.

   We had a great date / birthday celebration evening at Kali. The dishes were thoughtful, well presented, and delicious. The service was excellent. We started with caviar and then the steak tartare. Both were great. After that we had sea urchin spaghetti and a ribeye. Again very delicious. We had a great bottle of grower champagne with our meal. All in all a great visit. we highly recommend Kali.

   Its hard to find elevated dining which is also kid friendly. Kali goes out of their way on their website to let you know that kids are welcome. The atmosphere is casual while the food is fine dining at its best. Highly recommend.

   Lovely restaurant with great food. A few of the dishes were misses and the service had a lot of mistakes. Too much money to spend to have those issues.
